After Factory Upgrades include: 3m clear protective bra ($1,500), Fabspeed Version 3 Exhaust (around $3,000 retail), Champion Motorsport headers ($2,900 installed), CPU reprogram (around $2,300), and Ruger 19 inch rims (retail around $2,600), front LED daytime running lights from Vivid Racing (about $1,500 installed), and rear LED lights (about $1,000 installed); for a GREAT video on the front LEDs (which of course blink orange when turn signal is activated) in action, click on the following link from a PC http://www.ebay.com/itm/AP-Complete-Front-Bumper-LED-Daytime-Running-Light-Kit-Porsche-997-Turbo-07-12-/360506294846?hash=item53efd9823e&item=360506294846&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr The LEDs make this 2008 look MUCH newer. The car was Dynoed at 553 horsepower at the wheel which is about 100 more than the stock Turbo has if you discount the mfg. claimed 480bhp. It's fast. It is an extremely noticeable difference from the stock Turbo and sounds 10 times better even at idle. The exhaust was done at Porsche of Tyson's Corner, and the rest was done at Intersport in Vienna, VA.
The car runs beautifully. I would give it a 9.5/10 inside and 9.5/10 inside. I have recently taken a large pay cut at work and got married in November so I have decided to get rid of this car. Thank you and please email me with any questions.

This FL man accused of stealing drivers licenses has best tattoo ever
Thu, 10 Jul 2014Bentley and Porsche are two of the jewels in Volkswagen Group's luxury brand crown, but in Florida they also have a very tenuous connection with crime. With his multiple face and neck tattoos, including a Bentley logo right between his eyes, Derek Denesevich (pictured above) has been charged with the surprising crime of alleged identity theft. He recently surrendered to a Florida court, and could face seven years in prison, if convicted.
You might wonder where Porsche fits into this. According to the Sun Sentinel, Denesevich's accomplice was one Porscha Kyles, who worked for the Broward Clerk of Courts. She allegedly used her access to driver's license records to steal information and sell it to Denesevich. He is then accused of filing fraudulent income taxes to recoup the refund checks.
According to the Sentinel, Kyles has already pleaded guilty to conspiracy and identity theft and was sentenced to three years and one day in prison. The duo reportedly stole over 100 identities and made at least $120,000. Scroll down for a video about this pair of auto-related criminals.
2014 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid is one mean green machine
Sat, 20 Apr 2013The entire Porsche Panamera lineup gets a refresh for the 2014 model year, and new additions to the range include two long-wheelbase models and this E-Hybrid fuel-sipper that makes its debut here at the Shanghai Motor Show. And, well, we say "fuel-sipper lightly."
Porsche has packed its hybrid Panamera with 416 horsepower and 435 pound-feet of torque, and that certainly makes for one quick sedan-hatchback-thing. Hitting 60 miles per hour will reportedly take just 5.2 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 167 mph. And while Porsche hasn't revealed specific powertrain details, the company says that the S E-Hybrid "improves upon the concept offered by the previous Panamera S Hybrid with a more powerful electric motor," which leads us to believe that the supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine at the heart of it all still remains intact.
Fuel economy numbers (or estimates) have not been released as of this writing, but we expect to have that information closer to the car's on-sale date later this year. As for the new battery system, Porsche says that when plugged into a 240-volt charging station, it can be fully charged in just two and a half hours. When topped off, the Panamera S E-Hybrid should have an electric driving range of around 20 miles at speeds up to 84 mph, though, obviously, not at the same time.
Porsche Classic launching branded motor oil for air-cooled boxer engines
Tue, 17 Jun 2014It's hard not to love the look of a classic Porsche. Whether it's the upside-down bathtub styling of the 356 or the gradual evolution of the 911, there is a little beauty in all of them. However, the older they get, the more that needs repaired to keep them on the road. Porsche Classic is helping out, though, by introducing its own brand of motor oil for the demands of the company's vintage, air-cooled engines.
Developed at the Porsche Development Centre in Weissach, Germany, Porsche Classic Motoroil comes in two weights - 20W-50 for the 356, 914 and 911 models up to the 2.7-liter G-Model and 10W-60 for 3.0-liters-and-up engines through the 993-chassis 911. The company claims that the air-cooled engines have different heat demands than traditional, water-cooled units, and this oil is made to meet those requirements.
According to Porsche, modern, synthetic oils are sometimes too effective when it comes to old engines. They are fantastic at sopping up debris, but those deposits are often holding archaic seals together. Suddenly removing them can cause leaks. The new oil is specifically designed to work with the old-fashioned materials found in its classics. The company also knows that most owners aren't driving their vintage cars everyday. So this formulation is more alkaline that normal to neutralize acids that they build up and corrode components.
