This magnificent, upgraded, single-owner 2008 Porsche 911 GT2 is in fantastic condition throughout. I have taken meticulous care of this Porsche SUPERCAR. This has been regularly maintained by the local Porsche dealer, North Scottsdale Porsche, and this beauty has never spent even one night outside of the garage. This GT-2 has been Dyno-Comp tuned with an upgraded with a Europipe 997 GT-2 full exhaust system with 100 cell high-flow Cats, an EVOtech 997 GT-2 Stage-2 Electronic Control Unit and puts out approximately 650 HP at the crank. This vehicle has drag strip, bolt you back in the seats torque combined with perfect road race course balance. I have owned Corvettes, Ferraris, NSX's, BMW's, Vipers and Trans-ams (dating myself here). This is the hands down finest car that I have ever owned. I am selling it because I want a convertible and my 2015 911-turbo cabriolet-S will be delivered in 2-3 weeks. I am asking a fixed price but will entertain all reasonable offers. I am aware of NO PROBLEMS, issues, concerns, defects or damage to my GT-2. It has been maintained and lovingly cared for as my 2nd car. After 6 years of owning this beast, I have put only 17,000 miles on it (less than 3000 mi/year!)

The car itself is absolutely loaded with the PCM Package with navigation, upgraded Pioneer surround sound super premium audio with IPOD/IPhone integration by plug-in and Bluetooth, Pandora, Spotify and Aha Radio integration too! Also has sport Chrono Package, adaptive heated sport seats,, self-dimming mirrors, rain sensing wipers, carpeted and all-weather floor mats, and leather and alcantara/carbon fiber applied to virtually every exposed surface. This car is in amazing condition and has been serviced regularly. I am aware of no problems, concerns, or defects. Driving the million-mile Porsche 356

Fri, 30 Aug 2013

Maybe you've seen or heard about the Porsche 356 with almost one-million miles (though it doesn't look like it), but Petrolicious finally has produced a video to show us what it's like to drive the 982,000-mile car. Guy Newmark's beautiful, dark-blue 1964 356C looks great in motion - much better than in photos - and serves to remind us not only what meticulous car care can do for old classics, but that old Porsches were built to last.
So how fastidious is Newmark about maintaining it? He takes the car to his mechanic of 40 years every 3,000 miles for an oil change and to fix anything that needs attention.
Newmark says his 356 "is everything you could want," and that he finds errands to do just to go drive it. We would, too. The next-best thing is to watch the inspiring video below of the well-traveled Porsche.

Conquest and controversy conclude the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona [spoilers]

Sun, 26 Jan 2014

If you don't wish to know who won the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona, you should avert your eyes right now. We'll even give you a double-space to skedaddle...
For those of you still with us, the first race in the United SportsCar Championship (USCC) is done, but the discussions about it certainly won't end for a while. Daytona Prototypes claimed the first four overall places, the top spot taken by the No. 5 Action Express Coyote-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Joao Barbosa, Christian Fittipaldi, Sebastien Bourdain and Burt Friselle. The 16th and final caution of the race bunched the field up for an eight-minute sprint to the flag, so the first place getter finished just 1.4 seconds ahead of the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Dallara-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Max Angelelli. Third place went to Brian Friselle in the No. 9 Action Express Chevrolet Corvette DP, 20 seconds down. Chevrolet power hasn't taken the overall win since 2003, eleven years later it scores a one-two-three-four. The No. 6 Muscle Milk/Pickett Racing ORECA-Nissan 03 scored fifth place, the top LMP2 finisher.
The Prototype Challenge class win went to the No. 54 CORE Autosport team of Colin Braun, Jon Bennett, Mark Wilkins and James Gue.

There's a Porsche Cayman under here somewhere

Wed, 15 Jan 2014

What we have here is the work of Dubai tuner Royal Customs that is controversial even beyond its styling. The Middle East aftermarket house says it spent fourteen months developing a bodykit for the Porsche Cayman, and the results seem to be aimed at those who wish their coupe were a 918 Spyder - the nose, strake-filled and widened rear fender, carbon fiber wing and massive diffuser all cribbing some from Stuttgart's new hybrid supercar.
Even without a buyer, the Alpha One Concept is already controversial. When WorldCarFans posted on the Royal Customs car recently, German tuner Alpha-N Performance wrote in alleging that the Dubai package copies their design from two years ago, which was also called the Alpha One, a design with which it's clear the Dubai Alpha One shares numerous cues. We asked Royal Customs about its relationship to the Alpha One car, we were told, "Yes, there is a lot we can say about the remarkable similarities all of which will be explained by our press release by Mr. Emil from Autogespot. Please wait for the official release and you will have the full exciting story. It's an 'actual success story' and not a 'replication' story."
The response is referring to an "extensive report" on the car coming out of Autogespot. Royal Customs doesn't have the Alpha One Concept on its site yet, so we're still missing quite a few details on it, such as whether the Porsche engine has been given a similarly 918-ish workover. We do know that the company says each car takes 30 days to build and it will only build three of them, which is a number that should satisfy any haters and, even more so, its buyers. You can decide which side of the fence you're on by having a close look at it in the gallery above.
