Greetings,
I'm the second owner of this 2006 911 S. I bought the car in Arizona, from the original owner. The original owner was a Porsche collector and well known to the local dealer. Since purchasing the car, it has been driven as an occasional use, Summer car, and has been an absolute joy to own. The car is in very good mechanical and cosmetic condition, as you would expect. There is nothing needed, and no surprises.
I welcome a pre-purchase inspection and will assist if one is desired. I'm only a few miles from the local Porsche dealer. Basic maintenance and oil change, filter changes are up to date. The tires are Hankook, Ventus Evo V12s, and they're 50% worn. The brakes are sharp and incredible. This is my second Porsche and I've come to know the cars well. I had a Cayman S before purchasing this 911S. The car has never been used on a track or driven hard in any way. I drove the car mostly on weekends and tried to drive mostly on smooth, country roads, which is where the car shines. I've used only Zymol for exterior car and the car has rarely been dirty enough to wash. There is a road rash on the back, right wheel. This came with the car when I bought it. The CD player doesn't eject as it should. I haven't looked into having this fixed. I enjoy the sound of the engine. There are minor stone chips on the hood, which I'm leaving for the new owner to either keep or have touched up. Touching up will weaken the original paint and I didn't want to affect the factory paint. I like to keep cars as they originally are made and I don't like modification. This said, I changed the indicator lights to be clear rather than yellow, which I believe is a nice improvement. I did this on my Cayman S as well. The original indicator lights will accompany the car.
The car has PASM, which is active stability control. This tightens the suspension and sharpens throttle response. This is actually very noticeable when driving. Many options, including: Power, heated seats. Bose high end sound. Sport Chrono Plus. Navigation, metal door sill insignias, colored crest wheel caps, short throw sport shifter, and full leather interior. Retail price was over $94,000. I have the original Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, which is a nice document to have.
Gorgeous carmon red over grey leather. Full leather package, including dash. The headlined is alcanterra (sp). Extra, Porsche floor mats included. The original keys are present. I've upgraded the key fob on the driver's key to the 997.2 key, which is much more robust than the 997.1 key. This is minor, but it's a $300 key. The car has a RayTel hands free system. This was put in by the first owner and it does work well. It links to my iPhone. The car is also equipped with a LoJack system, which I never activated. I don't fear theft, since the car is rarely anywhere other than my residence.
The car seems to have blue book value at $51,000 or so. I'm a reasonable person and will work to meet a serious buyer who wants a great car. I would like the car to go to someone who will maintain and enjoy it. To summarize, this car is exceptionally clean and well maintained. There are no surprises. Title is clear and unencumbered. I live about 20 minutes from Detroit Metro Airport and can accommodate someone flying in. I flew to AZ and drove this car to MI and it was a very fun trip! Please ask any questions.
Please note: I am the second owner of this car. The Autocheck report is stating more owners and this is incorrect. Possibly due to my buying from the dealer, but I'm unsure. I know for certain that I am the second owner and I can verify this with 100% certainty.

Porsche Macan to get four-cylinder engines
Tue, 10 Dec 2013Porsche hasn't offered a four-cylinder engine since the 968 went out of production in 1995 - the better part of two decades ago. There'd been talk of a four-pot Boxster or an even smaller model to slot in below it, but while the latest intel indicates that Porsche is moving ahead with its four-cylinder plans, it's a different kind of vehicle that will get it first.
That, of course, would be the new Macan. Just revealed a few weeks ago at the LA Auto Show, the Macan crossover is being launched with a pair of twin-turbocharged V6 engines (a 3.0 with 340 horsepower and a 3.6 with 400 hp) and a six-cylinder turbodiesel with 258 hp. But smaller engines, according to emerging reports from Autocar and Auto Express, are on their way.
Word has it that Porsche is preparing a 2.0-liter turbo four with 280 horsepower and a diesel with the same displacement and cylinder count, engines that will power new entry-level Macan models that will slot in beneath the existing Macan S, Macan S Diesel and Macan Turbo. While the diesel is tipped to be ported over from the Volkswagen parts bin, the four-cylinder gasoline engine is said to be under development by Porsche itself, which could mean it will have a boxer layout.
Watch Larry Kosilla resurrect the finish of this barn-find 1966 Porsche 912
Thu, 25 Jul 2013Larry Kosilla, the founder of the Ammo NYC line of car cleaning products, has his own show YouTube's Drive network - we saw his work before when he gave a Ferrari 288 GTO a two-day detailing job. On this episode, Kosilla gets called in to do his best with a 1966 Porsche 912, a car that was last registered in 1990 and recently found in a barn in Connecticut.
Among the expected dirt and cobwebs, the Irish Green Porsche is also covered what is assumed to be cat fur and "waste." The car is in such delicate condition, however, that Kosilla can't wash it for fear of getting more water in it than on it, so he has to steam and wipe the entire thing down before he begins the paint correction process. In addition to the thorough knowledge of his work and his ability to explain it simply, the episode is captioned with further information one of Porsche's popular but less regarded models, and how Kosilla does what he does.
You'll find a compelling 29 minute masterclass in the video below.
