911 996 Porsche 1999 Coupe with sun roof. This is a salvage title, I bought the car from the insurance company after it was involved in a front end collision. I converted it to a 996 turbo using factory turbo quarters and fenders. The front and rear bumper, Rockers, and spoiler are GT2, purchased from Precision Porsche, Los Angeles Ca. The body is in good condition, it has a few dings and scratches, the rear bumper has some paint cracks in one spot where it was hit (shown in the picture). The color is white with metal flake, 19" rims. The interior is black leather and nothing was changed. I did add a 2000.00 sound system, two amps, 6 speakers, and 2 12" subs, and a back up battery.
The engine and transmission are great. It has an original 45,000 miles (plus or minus). Registration is current with no fees owed. I drive it on the weekends. Known Issues: The check engine light just came on and the code reads that it has a vacuum leak. The back rear tires are bare and will need to be replaced. Horn does not work. The car remote lock does not work. I have a few Porsche that I am selling. I started to collect them out of high school and now i want to sell them so I can have money to complete my college career. This car is being sold in 'AS IS' condition. I am also selling it locally so I reserve the right to end the listing early. Please feel free to ask me any questions and I will answer them to the best of my knowledge. I am open to all serious offers. If you have any questions please feel free to email or call. 925-642-4322 Noah The front end is a replica Techart piece (not GT2), the side skirts are Techart replicas (Gt2's did not come with side skirts like this) and the rear bumper is a 996 Turbo bumper (GT2's didn't have park distance control). |

Porsche forum claims eco-friendly 911 Blu coming to Frankfurt
Thu, 01 Aug 2013The fiftieth anniversary of the Porsche 911 has been a nearly year-long affair, with unique tributes and even a special anniversary edition with plenty of retro throwbacks. The party is expected to continue through the end of 2013, and if one 911 enthusiast forum is right, we'll see yet another special edition model near the anniversary of the original car's September 1963 debut, when it arrives at next month's Frankfurt Auto Show.
It's called the 911 Blu, and where the 911 50 Years Edition was more expensive than a 911 Carrera S hardtop, the Blu would be an entry level special edition. That's right, a limited run car that actually slots in at the very bottom of the 911 range. According to Porsche forum 911UK.com, the new car would be priced at 74,600 euros ($98,718 at today's rates) or 64,750 pounds. That undercuts the price of a base 911 in Germany by nearly 16,000 euros and in the UK by nearly 8700 pounds (although to be fair, it's roughly identical to the price of a base 911 C2S in the US).
This 911 will reportedly feature a detuned flat-six with 300 horsepower and 211 pound-feet of torque.
Porsche considering X6-style Cayenne coupe
Mon, 05 May 2014It was practically unthinkable when Porsche introduced the Cayenne in 2002. An SUV... from Porsche? Purists balked, but customers flocked, and the Cayenne propelled the its holding company into such profitability that it practically took over the entire Volkswagen Group. It's now been twelve years since the original Cayenne arrived as the first production Porsche with more than two doors, and Zuffenhausen has since followed up with the Panamera, the Macan and the second-generation Cayenne. But it isn't about to stop there.
The latest intel coming in from overseas suggests that Porsche is in the advanced stages of designing a slant-back, five-door Cayenne coupe to take on the likes of the BMW X6 and upcoming Mercedes-Benz MLC. Though the business case (however solid BMW may have already demonstrated it to be) is still being considered, if approved it would join the upcoming third-generation Cayenne on the production line in Leipzig as early as 2018 - a year after the new Cayenne itself is expected to arrive.
The Cayenne coupe would share much with the more conventional MkIII Cayenne (and for that matter the next Audi Q7 and VW Touareg as well as the Lamborghini Urus and Bentley Falcon) but differentiate itself with a more stylish (if less practical) roofline and an altogether sportier attitude. Autocar reports that the design calls for tauter sheetmetal and sportier cabin inspired by the 918 Spyder. Pricing would be positioned a good 15-20 percent higher than the regular Cayenne, and the "coupe" version would likely be offered with most, if not all of the engines available in the conventional version - including gasoline, diesel, turbo and possibly even hybrid options ranging all the way up to the 550-horsepower Turbo S.
Porsche working on turbo V12 for Putin limo project?
Fri, 24 Oct 2014Porsche is best known for building very well-regarded sports cars and better-selling utility vehicles. Come to the company with a big enough bag of cash, though, and the Porsche Engineering division can create just about anything. The group's past projects include working with Harley-Davidson, Mercedes-Benz and corporate cousin Audi, but if rumors prove true, then its latest partner might be the last one you'd expect.
Russian website Wroom reports that Porsche Engineering is building the engine for the Project Cortege government limousine project for Russian president Vladimir Putin. The mill is supposedly a turbocharged V12 displacing between 6.0- and 6.6-liters and making around 800 horsepower. When complete, it will reportedly be built by ZMZ with Russian-sourced parts.
The limo is expected to debut in 2017, according to Wroom, but it's just the beginning of Putin's grandiose plans, which also goes by the name of the Motorcade Project. The same platform is also meant to underpin several vehicles for use by the government, including an SUV, a small bus and a sedan. All of them would reportedly have a longitudinally mounted engine and all-wheel drive.
