1996 Porsche 911 Carrera C4s, 33k Miles And Original Condition on 2040-cars

Year:1996 Mileage:33500
Location:

Cheshire, Connecticut, United States

Cheshire, Connecticut, United States

Guards Red with Cashmere Beige. A breath taking widebody 993 in outstanding condition in all respects. The all original paint is in beautiful condition with a deep and stunning shine. All original interior is equally well preserved. Mileage is at 33,500 miles.

Anyone considering a 993 C4S knows that their pricing has been in a steady climb for years. Porsche has historically been on the fringes of the collector car market over the years but that has changed. Proof can readily be seen in current pricing of the 356, long hood 911s, 930 turbos and widebody 993s. When cars become expensive it is the difficult to find, original condition examples that set the benchmark in terms of quality, purity and value. They are the ones to own. This C4S is just such an example and one would need to assume that today's pricing will appear to be a bargain in the future. For sure this car would have been less expensive 4 years ago and it seems safe to say that it will be more expensive next year. Having said all that, own a Porsche because they are fun to drive at any speed. Being a sound investment is icing on the cake. Options on this car include the very desirable Motor Sound Package, left power seat, color crest center caps and cruise control. Clean Carfax of course.

This Porsche is offered for sale under our Weissach Autohaus' Broker Services Program allowing a privately owned Porsche to be sold by Weissach Autohaus on behalf of its owner. Petrolicious details why the Porsche 911 is something special

Thu, 26 Sep 2013

The Porsche 911 is a special car, if for no other reasons than it's been continuously produced since 1964, with nearly every generation regarded as being at or near the top of its class. But why the rear-engined icon has done so well among enthusiasts and regular drivers alike can't always be explained easily. To truly understand the 911, you have to experience the whole package, and that means driving one.
While just about every publication has raved about the Porsche, commercial director, race driver, photographer and 911 owner Jeff Zwart explains to Petrolicious why he was drawn to the legend as a young child, and why he still loves them today.
Zwart's professional and personal life are inextricably linked to the 911, and hearing him talk about the car and its history makes for fascinating viewing. Watch the video below to hear Zwart's story and see him drive a couple examples from his collection: an early 911 and the 964-generation Carrera 4 he won Pikes Peak with for the first time - a car that happens to be equipped with the 959 Paris-Dakar's fascinating torque-split transmission. Enjoy!

Porsche 911 Turbo and Nissan GT-R Nismo star in World's Greatest Drag Race 4

Fri, 26 Sep 2014

We love Motor Trend's annual World's Greatest Drag Race video. Now back for its fourth appearance, the idea of lining some of the world's fastest cars up for a ten-wide, straight-line, full-throttle run is, well... it's pretty freaking badass.
The lineup this year boasts some impressively fast cars to be sure. The group of ten includes the following darlings: Alfa Romeo 4C, BMW i8, BMW M4, Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Ford Fiesta ST, Jaguar F-Type R Coupe, Nissan GT-R Nismo, Porsche 911 Turbo S, Subaru WRX STI and, last but not least, the Volkswagen GTI. Give us any one of those for the weekend, and we're happy to take the keys.
It must be said though, that for a publication that draws as much water as Motor Trend does, there are some big cars that we might expect to be here instead. The Lamborghini Huracán or Ferrari 458 Speciale would have added some exotic flare to the list, and the omissions of the Chevy Corvette Stingray (for the second year in a row) and the Dodge Challenger Hellcat are real head-scratchers.

Leno steals Porsche 918 from The Quail for latest Garage episode

Sat, 31 Aug 2013

Just because he's a famous celebrity doesn't mean Jay Leno got to take it easy at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance earlier this month. Having already spent some time with the gorgeous Cadillac Elmiraj Concept and Ed Welburn for a recent episode of Jay Leno's Garage, the late night talk show host also got to put a few miles on a prototype version of the Porsche 918 Spyder.
Like a usual episode of JLG, Leno first goes over the details of the car with Frank Walliser, head of the 918 Spyder's development, before taking it out for spin. Check out the full episode, which is posted below, to hear what Walliser has to say about the car. More importantly, though, crank up your computer's volume and let the car's high-revving engine and amazing exhaust note do plenty of talking for itself.
