This 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera is in Black with Chestnut interior and 100,000 miles.
This Carrera has a 6-spd manual transmission and is a sunroof coupe. Excellent running and driving car.
Interior is a fantastic chestnut (reminds me of the Lobster from the 80's) and it in fine shape. Leather is soft,
headliner, carpets and dash are without issue. This is, and has always been a non smokers car.
All electrical is in good working order, as expected. Air conditioning blows cold. Both fan speeds work.
Here are the option codes from the stick on the inside of the hood:
L741: Schwartz Black Paint
BX : Chestnut Brown (really looks red to my eyes)

398 : Left Side Electric Mirror or 17" Wheels

This car is available to see, drive, inspect, or have inspected. ALL INSPECTIONS ARE WELCOME and ENCOURAGED. Pink
slip in hand, no salvage title, no titles in other folks names, NO FUNNY business here. If you are outside the US,

'Ring Queen Sabine Schmitz battles Ron Simons in Porsche vs Ferrari scrap
Tue, 04 Jun 2013We hope you have seven minutes to kill. RSR Nürburgring recently took the time to pit Sabine Schmitz and her slightly modified Porsche 911 GT3 RS against Ron Simons and his Ferrari 458 Italia in a sparring match around the infamous Green Hell. The clip begins with the two drivers engaging in a smidgeon of smack talk before the two get down to the business of beating each other's doors off around one of the most challenging courses in the world. Simons calls his car superior to Schmitz's 911, while Schmitz says she's up against nothing more than a Fiat driven by an old Dutch man.
Don't hold any punches, you two.
We won't spoil the finale for you, but we will say the tango is worth watching. At the end, the loser calls for a rematch. We can't wait to see that throwdown. Check out the clip below for yourself.
NYT profiles Blue Nelson, a reclusive and interesting CA car collector
Thu, 25 Sep 2014If it weren't for his Dale Earnhardt Sr. looks, Blue Nelson could be one one of those soft-spoken, nondescript guys whom you meet briefly and never learn much more about. However, as The New York Times shows in a recent profile and video, behind closed doors, Nelson keeps a fascinatingly eclectic collection of automotive oddities and vintage bicycles.
While his main career is in the movie industry, Nelson's other job is as a car hunter. He takes on clients searching for a specific model and helps them find and restore the dream vehicle that they're after. Hiring him takes some dedication, though, because Nelson doesn't advertise his services. "If people want to find me, they know how to find me," he says in the video.
Beyond being an automotive private detective, Nelson has a fantastically varied collection of vehicles of his own. He likes to have models that people don't usually see, and his garage holds a classic Chrysler New Yorker and an extremely rare Rometsch convertible. Although, the one that means the most to him is the 1962 Porsche 356 convertible that Blue came home in as a baby. Check out the video to learn more about Nelson and his philosophy about forming a bond with a car.
Porsche rules out Macan, 911 hybrids
Fri, 24 Oct 2014Believe it or not, between the 918 Spyder, the Cayenne and the Panamera, Porsche offers more plug-in hybrid models than any other brand. Yes, Porsche. But don't expect that trend to continue. At least, not in the immediate future.
According to Top Gear, the E-Hybrid powertrain in the Cayenne and Panamera is too big to fit into the smaller Macan. A future hybrid system could be small enough to fit, but with the current technology still fresh, that'd still be some ways down the twisting road.
It stands to reason, then, that if the system wouldn't fit in the Macan, it wouldn't fit in the Boxster or Cayman, either. But what of the 911? Surely Porsche would like to stick it to BMW and its new i8, and proved it could do a hybrid 911 when it rolled the GT3 R Hybrid (pictured) out onto the race track over four years ago. But Zuffenhausen is reportedly in no rush to put that idea into production - not for the current 911 and not for the next one, either.
