Low Reserve on this is beautiful Viola Purple Carrera 4 Convertible. I have owned and taken care of this vehicle for about 14 years! It has nice after market wheels, 3A Racing seats, and an SCCA approved ( bolt in ) DAS sport roll bar ( all shown in pictures ). It has after market strut tower braces for better handling, Bilstein coil struts, Carrera Turbo tie rod ends, a performance chip and the normal fuel map chip will be provided. A K&N style high flow airbox and may a few other odds and end I forgot about over the years. It is very fun to drive!
There are a few minor paint chips on the hood and maybe a small scratch or two here and there, there is a small area in front of the right rear wheel that has lost a bit of the clearcoat, there is one minor dent over the left tail light, and the fog light lenses are cracked. The third brake light lens cracked and is missing in the picture ( Car detailer broke it! I have the part and will install it ), there is a 3 or 4 inch crack on the lowest right side of the windshield, it has been the same size for 5 years ( a bird flew into it! ) and does not affect the view out the windshield. It had a minor fender bender and the passenger door got dinged and completely replaced about 10 years ago, no other major damage. The Carfax shows a non-collision indecent before I owned it. I beleive it was broken into since it is non-collision, and had no apparent damage. There is a small crack on the top dash. If it sits for a month or two the battery might drain. ( I am trying to disclose anything or all I know about the car )
I have never raced the car ( the roll bar is due to the mountain road I used to drive on for safety ( rt 9 Saratoga, many hairpins, drop-offs, fun driving! ) , since its a convertible ). The roof is good and lowers and raises fine and is water tight( I did glue some material inside to an area I thought would wear while rasing and lowering it, but it turns out its fine after 10 years since I last replace the roof ). It is always garaged, never driven in the snow, and very rarely in the rain. It just passed its most recent required smog check less than a week ago ( of this posting ). I can provide original black leather power seats and Carrera cup wheels at an additional price. It is a great running, strong running Porsche and looks stunning for its age! I always get lots of compliments when I drive it! Its time to sell it as it pretty much sits in my garage all year until I need to re-register and smog it! Roughly 400 of the C4 Cabs were sold in 1993 in the U.S. probably only a few in this color!

Porsche 911 already testing next refresh
Wed, 11 Dec 2013The latest Porsche 911 may still be a newer car, but that hasn't stopped the German company from starting development of a facelifted version of the rear-engined sports car, testing in what looks like southern Europe.
Due to hit the market in 2015, our spies think what we're seeing here is the new GTS variant, which, following the evolution of the last-generation 911, will make its debut on the facelifted car. Featuring the wider rear haunches of the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4, the GTS should enjoy a slight power boost, to 408 ponies.
Aesthetically, there are some additional vents in the rear bodywork, along with a revised front bumper and tweaked day-time running lights. The taillights get some attention as well, and will likely grow over the current car's skinny rear lamps.
Porsche 960 could come with quad-turbo flat-eight engine
Thu, 24 Jan 2013Getting a bead on the target that is the so-called Porsche 960 is not easy, as the target keeps moving. First labeled the 960, then the 961, and now back to being called the 960, it is Porsche's take on a supercar specifically aimed at Ferrari - the latest report in Automobile says that Porsche's internal moniker for it is "FeFi," which stands for "Ferrari Fighter." Because it is expected to cost as much as the top-tier V12 Ferrari, Porsche wants the engine solution to justify the price tag. That means, according to author Georg Kacher, a 3.9-liter, quad-turbo flat-eight engine with 650 horsepower.
Last summer, the engine was mooted to be a twin-turbo flat six. A few months later, the rumor was that it would use the 4.6-liter V8 from the 918 and have about 570 horsepower. This new mid-engine configuration would be quite the leap, giving the 960 more power than the 918 Spyder (pictured) and 911 GT2 RS, and utilize other tech features like four adjustable camshafts and "a complex multistage intake manifold." In this scenario, power would be run through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive.
Build materials are still slated to be a hodgepodge of materials including aluminum, steel, carbon fiber, titanium and magnesium. The boosted flat-eight, all-wheel drive and a 3,000-pound weight could get the 960 from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 2.5 seconds. Since it is looking squarely at Ferrari, the idea that the 960 will be a "four-door coupe" can probably be put to rest. For now.
Daughter has great taste, gives stepdad Porsche 914 of his youth
Mon, 14 Jul 2014Children require a ton of sacrifices; even people without kids know that. Whether it's the time to watch a baseball game or the money just to get there, parents have to give up something for the betterment of their offspring. Of course, once a child grows up, it's finally possible to repay mom and dad for all of their hard work. In the case of Kristin Russell and her stepdad, Dave, that involves a surprise 1973 Porsche 914.
Before he got married, Dave had a sweet, white 914. He even had the money saved up to restore it, but spent the cash on the wedding instead. The Porsche languished in the garage until Dave eventually parted it out and sold it off. Years later, Russell wanted to do something to thank her stepdad for all of the things he had done for her and her mom. The only fitting thank you was an identical 914 to the one that he gave up. Scroll down to watch Dave's reaction of getting his dream car as a surprise Father's Day gift.
