1989 Porsche Carrera 4

The previous owner maintained meticulous records/receipts of all the work performed. She was the perfect customer and did any all repairs that her mechanic recommended. She owned the car for 8 years and last year, she sold the car to me. The car had 117,250 miles on it at the time. I have put about 1,000 miles on it bringing it to 118,467. The Car is guard red with black interior. Everything on the car works perfectly.

The car has one tiny door ding behind the passenger door.

This Porsche has the following:

Central locking system

Full power comfort seat Left and Right

Cruise control

Lowered with sport suspension

Lumbar support, right seat

Lumbar support, left seat

Aftermarket Sony CD Player

New Stereo and Speakers to be included

Alarm system

Sunroof

The body of the car is in excellent condition with no rust. The paint looks great and appears almost perfect. The interior is in very good condition with very few signs of wear. The leather on both seats are great. The headliner and carpet are also in perfect condition. The door panels look great with none of the usual warping you find. The dash is also straight with no warping or cracks. All the gauges work properly. The a/c system works great and blows cold.

Porsche-Piech buy 10% stake in VW's holding company

Tue, 18 Jun 2013

In August, 2009, as the scuttled merger of Porsche and Volkswagen had gone bad and Porsche was backed up against the ropes, Porsche Automobil Holding SE (PAHSE) relinquished a ten-percent stake in itself to Qatar Holdings as well as options it held on 17 percent of VW shares. The sale meant that, for the first time since the founding of the company 61 years before, an entity outside the Porsche and Piech families had a say in the running of PAHSE.
Buying that ten-percent stake back returns full ownership to the two families, the holding company's sole possession being ownership of 50.7 percent of VW's common shares. The price paid wasn't disclosed, but at market rates the purchase would be worth close to $1.25 billion. Qatar intends to hold onto the 17-percent stake it has in Volkswagen.

Porsche 991 vs. 930 Flatnose in 911 Turbo convertible faceoff

Tue, 15 Jul 2014

The Porsche 911 Turbo has a legacy of being a tough car to drive. With a ton of power set right over the rear wheels, its reputation is to lose control as soon as the driver stops concentrating. However, this isn't quite so true anymore. The modern ones are tamed through technology with things like hydraulically controlled engine mounts, not to mention all-wheel drive. In its latest video, Autocar tries to decide whether 25 years of progress really makes the turbo a better vehicle.
It's summer, so what better version to compare than the 911 Turbo Cabriolet? In one corner, Autocar has the latest and greatest 2014 version pumping out 513 horsepower and 486 pound-feet of torque with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Its challenger is a 1989 911 flatnose convertible sporting 326 hp and 347 lb-ft of torque. It's a truly rare car in the UK with only eight of them remaining on the roads in that region.
Granted, this test isn't so much a battle as it is a comparison. There's no question that the modern 911 would beat the classic in practically every objective category. What the video aims to find out is whether the flatnose is better in subjective measurements like its "feel." Scroll down to watch these two droptop Porsches square off.

Porsche acquires Kyalami race track at auction

Mon, 28 Jul 2014

With more victories under its belt than any other manufacturer, you could say, in a figurative sense at least, that Porsche owns countless numbers of race tracks around the world. But here we're not talking about figuratively owning a track - we're talking about literally buying one. And Porsche has just bought Kyalami.
Kylamai, for those unfamiliar, is a grand prix circuit near Johannesburg in South Africa. Between 1967 and 1985, and again in '92 and '93, it was home to the South African Grand Prix, and has since hosted a variety of local and lower-level international races, but apparently fell on hard times. As a result, the track's owners - listed as Universal Property Professionals - put it up for auction. Bidders had to deposit four million Rand (about $380k) to participate, but after just 50 seconds, the auction was over.
The winning bid was placed - via telephone from the local press launch for the Macan - by Porsche South Africa CEO Toby Venter, who bid a reported 205 million rand (about $19.5 million) to take over the complex. The German automaker's South African division reportedly intends to keep the track open for racing, but could also be expected to use the facility for testing, customer track days and such moving forward.
