I have had car since 1999, I can sell with only bill of sale, engine was reconditioned in the 90s and it was painted in 99 and interior was replaced, dash has minor cracking and carpet is needing to be replaced. there is a couple of dings that show in pics, last year I had tank cleaned and replaced fuel pump and some hoses. car ran good after repairs. The guy I bought car from in 99 is trying to make me pay more money for the car title 14 years later. he was paid in full and he or I neither have any records or proof. So I will take a hit on price just so I don't have to Sue the idiot. I have paid 6 years of storage on it and don't want to spend anymore on it. I never tagged it because I was redoing it and never dreamed a so called friend would screw me like this. Some states require only a bill of sale only, and so require no title because of age. I live in Mo. so it will take more effort and it would be a salvage title when I did get one. I have heard it will be easy for some people to get a title in selected states depending on laws of state. This is a rust free car and has been inside I know sense 99. it was originally a blue color and I had it changed to red, I have receipt for paint job and the whale tale that's on it. and papers from a insurance co. that paid me for a guy that backed into it on after paint job was done. Paint was changed the correct way like under bonnet and rear lid and door jams. I did remove A/C compressor and condenser and there are long gone by now . Brakes probably need attention because of sitting, all the glass is good, targa top was recovered in 99 there is a small tear in it now. still has factory wheels and the tires look new but are 14 years old as well. The trans has no issues shifts good. This can be a nice original car with some work. if you buy this car I need it picked up within a couple weeks, at your expence here is some pics and if you have any questions just email. I am selling this way because I will not let this guy screw me like he has many people in this town. I guess money means more to him than friendship. I will respond to questions just after 530 during week. Thanks for looking.

Watch the Chevy Corvette dismiss its Euro rivals at the hands of a Brit magazine
Sat, 08 Feb 2014European auto writers, especially the British, have a bit of a reputation for favoring their own domestic cars over foreign rivals in comparison tests. Just think about how many times you've heard Jeremy Clarkson deify the latest product of UK loins while denigrating an American rival as a hopeless "Yank Tank." However, we have to tip our hats to the folks at Autocar because in its latest video comparing the 2014 Corvette Stingray to the Porsche 911, Jaguar F-Type V8 S and Audi R8, it's actually given the Vette a fair shake.
Autocar has put the Stingray through a battery of tests against what it considers to be the three best sports cars on sale in Europe today. And while the tests that it has chosen are somewhat random and subjective, it has concluded that the C7 can stand up against its rivals, even irrespective of its price. It's one thing to hear about how great the Stingray is from American writers, but it's great to know that not all Brits think we've gone crazy for calling the new Chevrolet "exquisite."
Scroll down to see how it all plays out on video.
World Car of the Year finalists announced
Fri, 07 Mar 2014To say the 2014 Geneva Motor Show was packed full of news is an understatement as big as the show's home at the Palexpo convention center. Despite everything that we were able to cover during this year's show, there's still more coming out of Switzerland, including the announcement of the finalists for the 2014 World Car of the Year Awards.
We reported on the original list of finalists over three weeks ago, and now, that initial list has been pared down to three finalists for each of the five awards. The finalists were announced at a press conference by frequent Autoblog contributor and co-chair of the awards, Matt Davis (above).
The finalists for the overall title of 2014 World Car of the Year are the Audi A3, the BMW 4 Series and the Mazda3. The World Luxury Car of the Year will be either the Bentley Flying Spur, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class or the Land Rover Range Rover Sport, while the Performance Car of the Year will be awarded to the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, the Ferrari 458 Speciale or the Porsche 911 GT3 (which, um, yeah...).
Audi and Porsche squabble over future product platforms
Tue, 22 Jul 2014In the buildup to the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans, Audi delivered an amusing video that worked on the playful rivalry between the German brand and its favorite frenemy, Porsche. We called it sibling rivalry, and at the time, it may have been just that. But just like sibling rivalries, it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt, and that's just what seems to be about to happen in the formerly peaceful Volkswagen Group family.
A new report from Automobile calls out the growing animosity between Porsche, who is backed up by Bentley, and Audi, whose primary ally is Lamborghini. No blows have actually been thrown, although there is a fair amount of "he said, she said" going on.
As Porsche tells it, for example, the new global fullsize SUV architecture being developed by Audi isn't up to snuff, citing size and structure issues, as well as an inability to accommodate a wide variety of engines.
