This is a rare treat but not for the Porsche Purest, This is fresh built Chevy 406 engine(450HP) mounted to a Porsche 915 transmission using the Renegade Hybrid Kit. It has a custom radiator and gas tank set up front. The car looks completely stock but has a massive horsepower advantage over the stock. This car just needs a few finishing touches to be driven. What car needs to be driven: 1.) The car needs a exhaust system it has headers but nothing past that. 2.) Gas Pedal needs new bushings installed otherwise pedal sticks 3.) Needs new rear sway bar bushings (sway bar is not installed but is included) 4.) Axles need to be installed ( New Axles included but not installed) 5.) Brakes need to be gone through ( Car has sat for many years while being built) What has been done: This is a fresh built 4 bolt main Chevy 400 block bored to a 406. Has flat top Keith Black pistons, Thunder Cam 600 lift, New 400 crank, Custom Made Harmonic balancer, Cast Iron Heads, New lifters, New Valves, New Guides, Z28 Springs, Pro Comp Low Rise Intake, HEI Distributer, Taylor Wires, Holley Car 650 Double Pumper (Rebuilt). Wiring harness is completely new made from Renegade Hybrids in Las Vegas, They Also installed The Cooling System and The Custom Made Fuel tank. The Whole conversion Kit was bought from Renegade Hybrids. All brake lights, turn signals, head lights and gauges work. The Engine has been turned on but not ran more than 30 seconds. The engine still needs to be broke in, can go over the procedure of break in to the highest bidder. As for the body it has the newer C4 body kit installed, the good one not the cheap one, the way you can tell is you have the plate that can be removed to adjust the rear torsion bar. Body is solid no rust or damage other that paint chips. Tires are almost new perfect tread. To get this car on the road it will probably cost you around $1,000 to $1,500 which is nothing. All the hard work has been done by either me or Renegade Hybrids, The Kit Alone not including Engine is almost $ 6,500 the engine is about $5,000 just in Parts and Machine work, not counting my labor to build. Transmission is $3,000 to have rebuilt. Labor spent at Renegade Hybrids to install wiring harness and install radiator and gas tank was $6,000. I have all the receipts for this build there is over $25,000 in parts and outsourced labor not counting the price I paid for the car. The registration is up to date and current no back fees owed. Roger Rodas' widow suing Porsche over Carrera GT crash

Investigations undertaken by local law enforcement may have vindicated Porsche from any wrongdoing in the crash that killed actor Paul Walker and racing driver Roger Rodas last year, but the latter's widow is apparently not convinced. According to emerging reports, Kristine Rodas has filed a lawsuit seeking unspecified damages from Porsche Cars North America.
In her suit filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court, Rodas' attorney Mark Geragos reportedly disputes the findings of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, which asserted that the vehicle was traveling at an unsafe speed of 90 miles per hour on city streets, identifying the speed as the cause of the accident. Instead the lawsuit claims that the vehicle was only going 55 mph and that the cause of the crash was improper equipment - namely a faulty right rear suspension and the lack of a crash cage and proper fuel tank.
Porsche 918 Spyder to birth stretched 2+2 version?
Fri, 23 Aug 2013Porsche is known for its ability to spin off a litter of variants from a single model, and according to a report in Automobile the 918 Spyder (pictured here) might not be spared the house trick. Having taken too many brains and too much money for too much time, company chiefs are said to be examining ways to get more for their development euro out of the supercar, and Plan A is apparently otherwise known as Plan 984. That would be a four-seater, rear-wheel drive supercar that uses a stretched mold of the 918's carbon fiber tub, keeping the V8 in the same mid-mounted place and costing around 350,000 euro.
That would be less than half the MSRP of its inspiration, but the details don't sketch out a car that's just half as good. Automobile speculates it would get something like 700 horsepower in order to best the coming 911 GT2, and about 440 pound-feet of torque. The 984 is quite a ways short of being confirmed; even though a full-size study is said to exist, it's like the 918 would need to become a bigger sales hit for the 984 to happen.
The 984's fortunes don't change those of the 960, the supercoupe Porsche is building to challenge Ferrari. Its potential specs haven't changed since the last report in January, power coming from a 5.0-liter, twin-turbo, eight-cylinder boxer engine with something like 650 hp pushing a curb weight of roughly 3,100 pounds. The means a suspected 0-to-60 mile-per-hour time of 2.5 seconds.

Of course, once a child grows up, it's finally possible to repay mom and dad for all of their hard work. In the case of Kristin Russell and her stepdad, Dave, that involves a surprise 1973 Porsche 914.
Before he got married, Dave had a sweet, white 914. He even had the money saved up to restore it, but spent the cash on the wedding instead. The Porsche languished in the garage until Dave eventually parted it out and sold it off. Years later, Russell wanted to do something to thank her stepdad for all of the things he had done for her and her mom. The only fitting thank you was an identical 914 to the one that he gave up.
