Up for sale. My 1976 Porsche 911 Targa. It has a factory Aluminum look option. Very rare.

Very solid car with no rust. Always kept indoors from day one. Oil changed every spring.I purchased this car from a close friend a few years back and have enjoyed driving her during the summer with the roof off.

The car run and drives great. Service history that was performed less than 2000 miles ago includes:

New axles
Tires
Spark plug wires
Zimmerman front and rear rotors
Brake pads
Brake hoses
All brake hardware replaced
Brake fluid flush
Points
Clutch pedal spring
Shifter bushings (shifts nice and tight)
Clutch pedal bushing kit
Brake master cylinder
Clutch clevis pin
Clutch cable kit
oil lines
Tale light lens

The Porsche has had a repaint years before i purchased it and looks great. Not a show car but very presentable.
There is no visible rust but there are a couple of dings and dents and a scratch on the hood.
The targa top could use a refinishing.

The interior is in amazing condition. No dash cracks or signs or wear at all.
The drivers seat has wear but no rips.
The drivers side door is missing the compartment flap and the drivers side window operates but does not close the last 3" or so.

The undercarriage has absolutely no rust or soft spots.

Overall this is a great car and great investment as we all know how fast they are appreciating. Especially the early models with lots of chrome.

Please contact me with any questions or to come and take a look. Email for  a link with over 78 pics of the car.
Thanks for looking.

 Hello,

I was finally was able to take the car for a ride for the first time in a while. When i put the car away last year it had a thumping noise which i thought was a bad axle. I just replaced both axles and the noise is still there. The car feels fine in all 5 forward gears. Just reverse has an issue. I'm thinking it might be a clutch but not sure.

2013 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S

Fri, 19 Jul 2013

I don't care who you are; when a new Porsche 911 rolls up in your driveway, that's a pretty good day. This was my very first experience with Porsche's 991 911, and after having spent time with just about every tune and trim of the last car, I was hotly anticipating comparing and contrasting.
Somehow (I don't remember sending out any cash-filled, unmarked envelopes) I'd scored a week in the 911 Carrera 4S over a long holiday weekend, too. That meant that I'd get to A) log a ton of miles in one of the best cars in the world, B) get to show-off the Porsche to family and friends and C) tempt cops in three states to pull me over. Good thing I've got the Autoblog traffic lawyer on speed dial...

Ferrari return to Le Mans looking more likely?

Wed, 18 Dec 2013

Statements made by Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo may indicate that the Italian brand could return to a form of racing it's been absent from for 40 years - prototype racing. That's right, LMP1 could see a factory Ferrari team for the first time since 1973, if a report from ESPN F1 is to be believed.
"We have won with the 458 GTE, but I also quite like the idea of racing at Le Mans in the highest category: who knows, maybe one day we can return and win, say thanks and come home," Montezemolo said. "Maybe we should give it some consideration..."
These seemingly idle, off-hand comments might not hold much water, were rumors about Ferrari's return to prototype racing not swirling as recently as August. There's also the fact that the upcoming, 1.6-liter, turbocharged V6 being used for Formula One complies with the Automobile Club de l'Ouest's own LMP1 regulations, according to ESPN. Finally, Ferrari returning to Le Mans might also explain this video of a camouflaged Ferrari LaFerrari testing a new turbocharged engine, which we showed you a few weeks back. There's a fair chance that what we're actually seeing in that video are the early stages of a new Ferrari prototype testing.

Noted Porsche collector Magnus Walker learns what a TED Talk is firsthand

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

Porsche collector Magnus Walker has the name and looks of a Viking, but once he starts talking about his life story and what drives him, he's an absolutely fascinating guy. Walker recently gave a Ted Talk at a Tedx conference at UCLA and claimed he didn't really understand the idea behind the speeches. You would never know it, though. Walker is as gifted a speaker as he is a talented restorer of some seriously cool Porsches.
Walker's talk is titled "Go with Your Gut Feeling," and it amounts to his autobiography. He recounts his birth in England, dropping out of school at 15 and moving to the US at 19. Once in Los Angeles, he started selling second-hand clothes and grew it into a fashion business.
Of course, what makes him interesting to us is his passion for Porsches. He fell in love with them when he saw a white 911 as a child at the Earl's Court Motor Show in England, but Walker waited until the '90s to buy his first one. From there he started racing and eventually restoring them. Since the documentary Urban Outlaw about him was released, Magnus has become famous for the love of the brand.
