History: This car was bought new in Texas and spent some time in Georgia , it is currently in California . It has
been off the road since 2004; however it must have been an amazing car when it was parked. I have a binder full of
the original owner’s manual, warranty card, title, etc. There is some literature about road Atlanta and
Performance Tuning by Doc in the binder of records. This car comes with a clean title and bill of sale. I am happy
to help arrange out of state or overseas shipping. For additional pictures please click on then link below.
ENGINE NUMBER: 64J03518 1988 3.2 911 Carrera Engine
COLOR CODE: 224 Green Metallic
Exterior: This car left the factory with the wonderful color combination of Green metallic and black interior. This
car still retains its correct green metallic paint and still has its original paint in the jams, floor boards, and
underneath. This car has never been in an accident. It does have some rust issues. There is rust in the rear
package tray and rear seat pan. The floor pans, rockers, jack spurs are all solid. There is some rust that has
appeared in the front suspension pan. This car would make a great candidate for a restoration, hotrod, etc.
Interior: The interior is also in need of a restoration. It is fitted with a set of race seats, and aftermarket
tachometer. It has the original rear seats, headliner, gauges, etc.
Engine/Transmission: This car is fitted with the very desirable 3.2 Carrera engine. This engine turns over freely.
The transmission is a 915 5spd. There has been no attempt made to start the car. I imagine this car would need
fresh fluids, fuel lines, etc.
Brakes/Suspension/Wheels: This car is fitted with bigger turbo calipers and cross drilled rotors on all 4 corners.
This car has the 993 targa rare alloy wheels. The car rolls and steers smoothly.

Porsche gives Nick Murray exactly what he deserved [w/video]

Sat, 19 Apr 2014

The tale of Nick Murray and his lemon Porsche 911 appears to have come to a satisfactory end. As noted in the original story about Murray, he and Porsche Cars North America met and came to a resolution. However, we didn't know exactly what that meant, until now.
Murray has created a new video explaining that PCNA offered to buy back the car at full price or give him an exact replacement for it. This was exactly what he was asking for. Murray remains pro-Porsche in the new video. "I am definitely considering reordering a Porsche 911," he says.
Porsche also posted a message on its Facebook page that clarified the situation. "We at Porsche have always sought excellence in all that we do. We know you expect it of us. And when we don't meet that standard, we make every effort to improve," said a portion of the note.

Porsche 918 Spyder with Weissach package does 0-62 mph in 2.6 seconds

Mon, 18 Nov 2013

Porsche marketers are having a field day with the 918 Spyder after some last-minute tuning improved the car's performance. They now say that it's so fast it's already beaten itself. Let us explain: Using a Weissach package-equipped 918 as an example (which reduces the plug-in hybrid supercar's weight through the deletion of some interior items, more generous use of carbon fiber and magnesium wheels), the car's previous official 0-62 miles-per-hour time of 2.8 seconds has been cut to 2.6. Additionally, 0-124 mph takes 7.2 seconds and 0-186 mph is dispatched in 19.9 seconds, times that were reduced by half a second and 2.1 seconds, respectively.
In all-electric mode, a non-Weissach pack 918 does 0-62 mph in 6.2 seconds (with the package, 6.1 seconds), down from 6.9 seconds. Efficiency is also improved thanks to the final tuning. The New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) rating of a Weissach pack-equipped car equates to 94 miles per gallon, up three mpg compared to before. That's pretty good for a car with 887 horsepower!
Check out the press release below for more details on how Porsche's final tuning measures improved its flagship supercar.

Porsche testing new 911 GTS

Wed, 28 May 2014

Porsche may have one more vehicle in its stable with the GTS moniker, if these spy shots are any indication. They show off the presumed 911 GTS lapping the track - the model meant to slide in under the GT3 to be a bit more driver-friendly but still very fast alternative to a stock Carrera.
At first glance, it might look like any other 911, but the devil is in the details. The most obvious among the differences are two centrally mounted exhaust outlets, rather than the ones closer to the corners on most of the current models. They also aren't perfectly in the center like the GT3. The taillights are also somewhat thicker than the current ones, and the rear decklid is split into three exposed sections.
This is the third time we've seen the presumed GTS. The first was as a coupe late last year. Then it showed up again in March testing in convertible form. Although, that version also sported fender vents at the rear.
