Very solid example of the timeless 911 Coupe. Beautifully straight and dry body plus excellent original floors, pans and rockers. Underneath pictures are available upon request. Car spent the majority of it's life in Texas and Arizona with last owner having the car for 26 years in Glendale area. Good older paint that still shines up well but eventually could be redone to factory Pastel Blue color and return to original. All rubber trim has just been replaced and glass and chrome are very nice. Interior looks to be original and still shows quite nicely considering the age. Door panels, seats, carpets, headliner and dash are all very presentable. All gauges function properly and lights, signals etc. work as they should. Mechanically the car is very strong and tight with detailed service history and records dating back to 1986 when last Arizona owner purchased the car in Abilene, Texas. Most recent work includes new complete shift bushings along with carb rebuilds plus full tune and all fluids flushed. Comes with old Texas registration showing first owners information and original owners manual. Has correct matching# engine and gearbox that have both been redone about 20 years ago but only driven a little over 2000 miles since. Also has Porsche certificate of authenticity. Front bonnet and engine compartments are very tidy plus come with factory spare, jack and Porsche car cover. Receipts for full brake job in 2009 plus many others showing constant careful service. Overall a fantastic driver with excellent history that can be enjoyed as is or taken to the next level without too much work.

Watch the Chevy Corvette dismiss its Euro rivals at the hands of a Brit magazine

Sat, 08 Feb 2014

European auto writers, especially the British, have a bit of a reputation for favoring their own domestic cars over foreign rivals in comparison tests. Just think about how many times you've heard Jeremy Clarkson deify the latest product of UK loins while denigrating an American rival as a hopeless "Yank Tank." However, we have to tip our hats to the folks at Autocar because in its latest video comparing the 2014 Corvette Stingray to the Porsche 911, Jaguar F-Type V8 S and Audi R8, it's actually given the Vette a fair shake.
Autocar has put the Stingray through a battery of tests against what it considers to be the three best sports cars on sale in Europe today. And while the tests that it has chosen are somewhat random and subjective, it has concluded that the C7 can stand up against its rivals, even irrespective of its price. It's one thing to hear about how great the Stingray is from American writers, but it's great to know that not all Brits think we've gone crazy for calling the new Chevrolet "exquisite."

Porsche reveals first Macan driving and manufacturing footage

Fri, 13 Dec 2013

One of the more anticipated offerings of the upcoming year, Porsche's sporty baby Cayenne, the 2015 Macan, has already earned nods of approval from a number of Autoblog staffers. We named it one of the top five debuts at last month's LA Auto Show, citing its 400-horsepower turbocharged engine and other sporty bits as good reasons to get excited about Stuttgart's latest.
And while our first test may be many months away, we're keeping our ears to the ground for any information on Porsche's compact crossover. We're especially keen on stuff like this - our first look at the new model in motion and undergoing assembly at its Leipzig plant. Both are shorter videos, and while there's little of the glorious engine noise we've already been teased with, the videos do offer a great look at the handsome Macan on the road, as well as glimpse at Porsche's state-of-the-art manufacturing operations.
Scope out the videos below and let us know what you think.

Porsche planning new 911 Speedster as 550 tribute

Tue, 12 Nov 2013

Some look at the emergence of a new Porsche 911 and see a car. But to Porsche engineers, it might as well be a reset button. Because every time a new 911 comes out, it sets off a tidal wave of new variants to follow, including convertibles, turbos, targas, GT3s... the works.
The next down the pipeline, though, could be one of the most desirable. That, according to German publication Auto Bild, will be a new 911 Speedster. When it arrives early in 2015, the special roadster will reportedly be limited to just 550 examples in tribute to the original 550 Spyder.
It'll reportedly have hidden door handles, a chopped-down windshield and a fabric top to be used only in case of emergency, manually disappearing below a carbon-fiber cowling. All of which makes it sounds as much like a bigger version of the Boxster Spyder as a successor to the last 911 Speedster (pictured above), and that's no bad thing at all.
