356 A Posche Coupe 1959 T-2 Originally Miessen Blue, Project Car, Complete. on 2040-cars

This is a late 1959 356, T-2, built 7.59 according to the Kardex, which I have a copy, and was delivered to Hoffman NY. The original color is Meissenblau with Brown interior. 59 356 A T-2 s are a great car to restore, as they have the better ZF steering box, later roller bearing axle stubbs, and better syncro transmission. As a 59, this car is eligible for the VSCCA and many other vintage race groups, here and abroad. The car is very complete with a running, 1 year later 1600 Normal engine. The engine compartment has original intact noise insulation. The drivers doors and deck match the body, I did not take off the passenger panel, but does have the blue paint underneath. The hood is un-kinked and un-numbered. The gauges have correct date stamps. The rare exhaust thru bumperettes for rear bumper are with it. All glass is intact, and seems correct, I took pictures of the glass logos. The passenger quarter glass is plexi. The wheels are very nice chrome repros, and the tires are new 165 x 15. Included with the car are new floors, longitudinals, seat and floor board brackets. The original steering wheel, and rare horn ring and button are there, but the horn ring has a crack, and the button is cracked. I have documents dating back to 1981 when it had 87,000 miles on it. I have some receipt from 80's and 90's and an owners manual. One of the keys are stamped with the original factory key number on Kardex K 149. Meissen Blue is now a highly sought after color. This car has original deco trim, with extruded ends, verses the repros that are pinched and welded. It does have the mirror and sun visors, and one "wedge" front directional stand. The rear license light has the Hella logo, and the rear tear drop trim has the part numbers in them. I encourage inspection, the car is in White House NJ. If sold overseas towing to the port is about 50 miles. I will answer questions and send pictures up till end of action, but not after. A closer look at the 2015 Porsche Macan

Porsche took the wraps off its all-new 2015 Macan at the LA Auto Show last week, and while it's easy to write it off as just a badge-engineered version of the Audi Q5, you'd be very, very wrong. For starters, 75 percent of the car's platform was re-engineered by the Porsche team, and with a choice of two twin-turbocharged engines, the Macan should absolutely live up to the brand's pedigree.
eBay Find of the Day: 1981 Porsche 928 convertible by Carelli
Wed, 30 Apr 2014The Porsche 928 was perhaps the consummate European GT of its day. With a powerful front-mounted V8 engine that grew in displacement as the model years went on, it was capable of eating up the miles at triple-digit speeds in great comfort for occupants. It was also an unusual beauty, with its sharp front and curved rear featuring innovative integrated bumpers.
Currently for auction on eBay Motors is one of the rarest 928s you're likely to find, in a handsome combination of Guards Red paint and tan leather interior, though we wouldn't mind a less-showy finish to the factory wheels. According to the seller, this car is one of eight 928 convertibles by Carelli Design, a firm that's still in business.
The auction claims that these cars were made in 1981 as a feasibility study between Carelli and Porsche for a possible production 928 convertible. The seller says he worked at the dealership where the car is said to have been originally sold $103,000. To remove the roof and hide the convertible top, there were significant changes made to the body and interior, including redesigned doors and a completely new trunk. As you can see in the gallery, when down, the top is completely hidden in a very factory-like fashion. When up, it looks slightly awkward, though (and we'd really like to see a rear three-quarter view to check out the blind spots).
Studiotorino shows new Cayman-based Moncenisio sports car
Mon, 24 Mar 2014While the recent bankruptcy of Bertone shows that it has become very difficult to be a coachbuilder today, it seems there is still a business case in creating unique bodies for premium vehicles. Case in point, Studiotorino a small, Italian coachbuilder that has been creating limited-edition cars since 2005. Its latest creation is the Moncenisio, which debuted as a prototype at the National Automobile Museum of Turin on March 21. It's named after the 1902 Susa-Moncenisio race in Italy, the first automotive hillclimb in the world.
The Moncenisio begins life as Porsche Cayman S, and each car will be built to order with a planned production run of 19 examples. The chassis, mechanicals and engine are all left untouched. The only thing that Studiotorino alters are the body panels and interior appointments. Prices start at at a heady 145,000 euros ($200,420 US), plus the cost of the donor vehicle.
Architect Daniele Gaglione penned the shape of the Moncenisio, taking inspiration from the 1963 Porsche 904. The sports coupes receive carbon fiber pieces that replace the front bumper, side panels and rear bumper. Studiotorino also covers the rear side windows with welded metal panels. The design is still clearly a Cayman, especially from the front, but the extended roof and support pillars create a new look from behind, which features a new exhaust treatment and rear spoiler. The interior receives leather upholstery on the engine compartment cover, the partition between the engine and seats, ceiling and A-pillars.
