Up for sale is my 1965 Porsche 356C Cabriolet, matching numbers per the original owner's manual in the glove compartment, chassis number 162068 with engine number 733159. Paint code is 6407. This is a 2 owner car. Included in the sale is the original ignition key with leather "Porsche" maroon fob. Fully documented from day one of its sale date on June 14th,1965. Sold by Mooers Motor Company in Richmond, Virginia. First owner owned the vehicle up to 8/23/1977 where second owner purchased the car. I purchased the car from the second owner. All service receipts with sequential mileage up the current mileage of 70735. Mileage is original. Odometer is working. Every service, every oil change, every tire purchase, every light bulb, every brake service, every state inspection, EVERYTHING from day one on this vehicle. It is rare to find a vehicle with all the service records and receipts and the service booklet in the dash with the dealer stamps in it. Hood and engine grill has the last 2 digits of vin stamped in them. There is no evidence of accident repair in going through all of the receipts.

Since purchasing the vehicle we have changed the spark plug wires, put in fresh spark plugs, changed the oil, installed and set new points, changed the transaxle fluid, installed new rubber boots on transaxle, and did a thorough check over on the vehicle. All gauges work-temperature, gas level gauge, speedometer, odometer, tachometer, clock works most of the time, low and high beam lights, turn signals, brake lights. Radio currently does not work. The car maintains its original 6 volt system and charges well. Car has European heater system on it, which is all intact. Engine runs beautifully and takes the gas well. Transmission is smooth and shifts through all 4 forward gears smoothly and goes into reverse smoothly as well. I have driven the car over 400 miles in the past 3 weeks and it is just a blast to drive.

Interior is showing some wear especially on the driver side seat; top is present and goes up and down but the rear window will need replacing; all doors close amazingly well and maintain their gaps very well; engine lid closes well. Hood closes well but has been kinked and will need repair. Car is very solid but has a few spots that will need some rust attention: small pencil eraser size blisters in front of driver side door on fender; driver side longitudinal in rear will need some rust repair (see picture). None of the rust on this car affects the structure of the car. We have had the car jacked up in the rear and the doors open and close beautifully while it is jacked up. There is no evidence of accident on the car.

I also have a hardtop which is complete for the car that can be purchased additionally.

Porsche (finally) unleashes full, official details on 918 Spyder

Porsche has finally let released all of the details on the 918 Spyder, the German brand's challenger to the McLaren P1 and Ferrari LaFerrari, after months of leading our poor, performance-loving hearts on. The covers were lifted at the Volkswagen Group night, an enormous precursor to the Frankfurt Motor Show, and include a massive, 11,000-word press release that's attached at the bottom of this page.
The 918 Spyder features a mid-mounted, dry-sump-lubricated, 4.6-liter V8 engine that generates 608 horsepower when left to its own devices. Combined with a trio of electric motors, which produce 286 hp, the total system horsepower for the 918 Spyder rests at 887 ponies. That's less than the McLaren P1 (903 hp) and the LaFerrari (949 hp), but the Porsche is also likely to be a bit cheaper, starting at $845,000, while the McLaren will be in the seven-figure range for certain, and it will more than likely be joined by the LaFezza.
The 918 Spyder counters with a 2.8-second jog to 62, a 7.7-second run to 124 and it will hit 186 in 22 seconds.

Porsche recalls new 911 models over exhaust pipe issues

Porsche, though the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, announced a voluntary recall on about 2,200 911 Carrera and Carrera 4 models built during the 2012 and 2013 model years. On cars equipped with the standard exhaust system it was found that the tailpipes could separate from the mufflers and become dangerous road debris; models that added the optional sport exhaust system are not included in this recall.
Affected vehicles were built between March and November of last year, but there have been no reports of the problem on any customer-owned vehicles. Porsche first noticed a cracked tailpipe weld on a test vehicle back in May, and since then has found similar problems on other internally owned vehicles, all with more than 25,000 miles on the clock. To fix the problem, dealers will be replacing the mufflers. Scroll down to read the official notice.

Porsche announces plan to replace 911 GT3 engines

About a month back, we reported that Porsche was suspending delivery of its 911 GT3 due to reported incidents of the engine bursting into flames. A few days later, Porsche told owners of the new track-ready models not to drive their cars and had their local dealers pick up the cars in question. Just a couple of days ago, we reported that Porsche was working on a fix, and now we have the official details.
Following an internal investigation prompted by two such incidents, Porsche has confirmed that is has identified the problem as resulting "from a loosened screw joint on the connecting rod." The loose connecting rod, Porsche found, damaged the crankcase, which in turn resulted in oil leaking and then - in at least two cases - igniting.
Our source is unaware of Porsche being contacted by GT3 owners concerned about the impact of a replacement engine on their car's collectibility or resale value.
