1962 Porsche 356b/1600s Reutter Couple Original With Coa on 2040-cars
Sunnyvale, Texas, United States
Bought the car from a 2 Owner Car and has remained as factory original as possible at all times. Mileage is original. Solid metal and all panels are original to the car and as near as we can tell have never been off. Some evident of paint work/blending here and there but must have been over 30 years ago, original paint is now thin is some places. Runs, drives and shifts perfectly. Motor and gear box came was out for a complete rebuild aprox 17k miles ago, smooth through all the gears, pulls hard all the way. Car also sits and idles correctly, starts up every time even after a long sit. All glass is original to the car. All interior is original to the car and although worn it has never been out or modified (a good used pair of 356 genuine lambskin seat covers will come with the car). Radio is from a 63 model car, missing the knobs. Fuel gauge doesn't always work, stays at full most of the time. Also have jack, spare parts of the tool kit w/holder, original dealer manuals w/holder and of course the COA. Mostly you see these cars over restored, this one can be left alone. We reserve the right to cancel all bids and end the auction early should the vehicle no longer be available for sale. This vehicle is being sold "as is". Best of luck!

Proof the world revolves around the Porsche Cayman
Sat, 27 Apr 2013Or at least the world revolves underneath the Porsche Cayman, in the latest video showing off Stuttgart's mid-engine coupe. Porsche put an Easter egg in the world that spins triple-time, a "famous relative" of the Cayman hidden somewhere on the marble planet, and gave a Porsche Martini bag to one of the first 50 people who could point it out.
With more than 300 views there's no chance you'll win the bag, but you can still go on the treasure hunt in the video below.
Porsche 911 GT2 RS vs. Mercedes SLS AMG Black in battle of who can shred more rubber
Fri, 04 Apr 2014We might be looking at the end of an era in European performance models. Mercedes-Benz is doing away with the SLS in favor of a rumored smaller and cheaper SLC, and Porsche has said that a new 911 GT2 isn't necessarily a sure thing, which means another 911 GT2 RS is even farther away. In its latest video, Evo's Jethro Bovingdon pits the ultimate versions of these German sports coupes against each other and finds two of the fastest cars the magazine has ever lapped around its track.
In one corner, there is the Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series that sits as the pinnacle of the company's halo model. It relies on the classic setup of a V8 mounted in front powering the rear wheels. On the other side, there is the 911 GT2 RS with a turbocharged flat-six mounted at the back, spinning the rear wheels. It was conceived to be Porsche's ultimate expression of a turbocharged 911, and while it's a few years old, Bovingdon shows that it's up to the task of racing a more modern rival.
Both of these rear-wheel-drive monsters are more than capable of some fantastically smoky power-slides, but they also show how great the last generation of sports cars was. Scroll down to check out the video.
Remembering Porsche's illustrious Le Mans history
Fri, 13 Jun 2014Not only does this weekend mark the running of the 82nd 24 Hours of Le Mans, it will also see the return of one of the race's most venerable brands to the top tiers of endurance racing. Porsche will campaign its first top-flight car since the 1998 911 GT1-98, the 919 Hybrid, at this weekend's race, in the hopes of knocking off its corporate rival, the dominant Audi team.
To understand just what a win for the 919 would mean, though, you need to look back on the intrinsic connection between the Circuit de la Sarthe and Porsche. It's a history that spans decades, dating back to the team's first win in 1970.
XCar has a great video on that history. At 25 minutes, it's a bit on the long side. Then again it is the Friday before Le Mans. Take a look below for the video.
