This is a garage kept, one owner/driver, accident free, meticulously maintened, problem free vehicle. I have personally changed the oil at approx every 5000, miles. (see pic of record) with full synthetic Mobil One oil, and Toyota filter. The Transmission has been serviced at 25k intervals using Toyota T-IV fluid. 90% of the miles are highway miles, with no idling periods. This car was never used in the snow or salt, the undercarriage is clean, dry & rust free, there are no leaks. There are no parking lot dings, no bumper scuffs, & all 4 aluminum wheels are free of peeling & curb rash. All the paint is original, the depth & luster is as new as, it never went through a car wash, always hand washed. It has never been smoked or eaten in, you will not find petrified french fries under the seats!. The front brake pads were replaced with Toyota pads, the rear linings still have better than 50% left. The tires were replaced with the best grade Michelin Hydro Edge tire, not from Wal-Mart/Sams Club, but from a Michelin dealer - Yes there is a difference...I have all the original paperwork including the window sticker which listed the price at $20,835.
I would not be selling this car if it weren't that I received a company vehicle, my intention was to put the 300,000 miles on it, that these Toyota 4 cylinders have the reputation of, if maintained properly. This car passes for a nearly brand new car....What keeps it from being 100% perfect are some tiny chips at the front edge of the hood, & minor wear on the bollister of the back rest of the drivers seat....Use e-bay listing for questions, bid only with the intention to conclude the transaction. I have a fair reserve. Thanks & Good Luck...

Lutz says GM was working on 5th-gen Pontiac GTO
Thu, 08 Aug 2013Bob Lutz was one of the forces behind bringing the Holden Monaro to the United States, as the ill-fated Pontiac GTO in 2004. And while that car received critical acclaim, it was a sales disappointment. Now, Road & Track is reporting that our suspicions were correct - Pontiac was working on a two-door, G8-based coupe before it was shuttered.
In that R&T article, which is no longer available online, Lutz explained that the new GTO would solve many of the issues found in the original. Car Advice speculates that the new model would have look like a rebadged version of the Holden Coupe 60 Concept from 2008, a conclusion we also came to.
That car would have been a big departure from the 2004 to 2006 GTO. It has an extremely long hood and short rear deck, with an almost fastback roofline and a wide greenhouse with a tall beltline. The wheel arches were very pronounced, and the chin and rocker panel splitters gave it a race-ready look. Would it have been enough to make the GTO work in the US? We think it might of, but it looks like we'll never know.
Watch this garbage truck consume a Pontiac Grand Am
Wed, 15 May 2013When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Next time, we won't feel so guilty about slipping that rusty charcoal grille onto the curb next to the cans on garbage day. Watch the carnage by scrolling below.
Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
