This is a 2002 Collector edition Pontiac Trans Am With WS6 Pkg. (3rd owner) Owned for 5 years. This Collector
edition Trans Am has low 53K. Miles on it and comes with a 5.7 LS1/346 motor with Automatic Transmission! Tranny
shifts smooth through all gears and operates as it should. This vehicle is beautiful all the way around. The paint
is in good condition with a few dings and scratches. The interior is good with some tear but no rips. Super
reliable. This vehicle is mechanically sound and runs as it should. The engine starts right up and runs smoothly
whether at idle or under acceleration. Interior is beautiful collector edition yellow matching the outside. There
are no leaks, squeks from somewhere on the passanger side but have not taken it anywhere to see what it might be.
No squeals or unusual vibrations coming from under the hood or the transmission. All power; windows, power remote
mirrors, power remote rear deck lid, Drivers Power Seat, Monsoon AM/FM CD player with Audio Controls In Steering
Wheel, Power Door Locks, Power Mirrors, Cruise Control, Tilt Wheel, Fog Lamps, Front & Rear Power ABS Disc Brakes.
You will not be disappointed. The top section between T-tops and back window has chipped paint and would need to be
replaced/re-painted. The tires are low profile tires which makes the ride rougher than regular tires and keeps the
car from it's full potential in handling, recommend replacing, I was going to replace all four times before I
decided to just sell the car since I I'm not driving it anymore. I rather have someone enjoy this truly amazing car
than just sit there. The power of this car is awesome! When you sit in the car, it really does feel like you're
sitting inside a cockpit. The sound of the engine is music to the ear and the Collector Edition paint is beautiful
and the comments you get and the stares you get from Mustang and Dodge owners is priceless, you don't see this cars
on the road at all. All around a great great car, just ask anyone who owns one of these cars and they will tell you
how awesome it is. Supercar considerations and not too far from hitting it's highest collector value. The tags for
the car are from 2014 since I've had it PNO since then. The car has been taken good care of, started every other
day and driven around the block but have not driven far and would recommend an oil change right away. I need to
sell it to start a new stage of my life but if it doesn't sell I can actually still have a smile on my face knowing
I still own this car. Thank You.

1969 Pontiac GTO Judge vs. 2006 GTO, which Goat gets your vote?

Mon, 08 Sep 2014

The Pontiac GTO was perhaps the most iconic muscle car of the '60s and early '70s. With its beefy V8 and color palette screaming for attention, it summarized in a single vehicle everything that made the era so appealing to many young people. Pontiac tried to collect just a few drops of that aura again in the 2000s with a revived GTO, but with decidedly mixed results. The performance was still there with its big V8, but the looks never quite lived up to the powertrain. Now, Generation Gap wants to know which of these Goats is the one to own.
Things are skewed immediately because the 2006 GTO here is a real ringer. It comes from famous tuner Ken Lingenfelter's collection, and it's a one-off example partially fettled by GM Performance boasting a twin-turbocharged LS2 V8 with a claimed 750 horsepower and a wide-body kit. This Goat definitely isn't what you're going to find just browsing for one to buy in the newspaper. Still, dip the throttle just a little, and this GTO pulls like a freight train. It's enough to turn the two hosts into giggling schoolboys behind the wheel.
The '69 GTO Judge here is also out of Lingenfelter's collection, but this one is all stock with a 400-cubic-inch (6.6-liter) V8 and a Ram Air hood for a claimed 366 hp. It might not have the unbelievable power of the turbo '06, but it makes up for it with style to spare.

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit

Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.

Hurst Edition Trans Am proves the Screaming Chicken will rise from the ashes

Wed, 31 Oct 2012

It seems the Pontiac Trans Am steadfastly refuses to die. Ever since Chevrolet was granted a retrofied Camaro to compete with the Ford Mustang, Pontiac lovers have lamented the loss of this 1970s icon. And, looking at the Hurst Edition from Trans Am Depot, shown here at the 2012 SEMA Show, may explain what all the fuss is about.
It's not going to appeal to everyone's muscle-car tastes, but there's certainly room for a brash-and-bold black-and-gold Special Edition in many a Trans Am lover's garage. After all, if you want the keys to a custom pony car, you'll certainly get noticed in this one. If this scheme isn't your bag,, you can alternatively order your Hurst Edition in white and gold or silver and black. Oh, and don't forget a color-coordinated Screaming Chicken on the hood.
No matter which way you choose to go, your inner Burt Reynolds will appreciate the Eibach suspension kit, forged wheels with Pirelli PZero tires, functional shaker hood, fender air extractors, rear spoiler and, of course, a Hurst shifter inside. The interior is emblazoned with all manner of special touches, including a Hurst dash plate and T/A stitching on the Katzkin two-tone leather seats.
