Extremely clean 2001 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 that has been meticulously maintained. Powered by a 5.7 liter LS1 V8 with the WS6 Ram Air performance package, consisting of functional front air dams, dual exhaust outlets, power steering cooler and polished aluminum wheels. The Ram Air package boosts power to 320 hp with 345 peak torque. Performance: 0-60 in 5.0 sec and 1/4 mile of 13.5 @107.4 mph.

This car is completely stock and has not been hacked or modified in anyway. Equipped with an  automatic transmission, power seat, air conditioning and glass T-Tops that do not leak. The engine and drivetrain are perfectly maintained without leaks or issues of any kind. Brand new performance brakes and cross drilled rotors installed, as well as, new WS6 OEM shocks and struts. The car handles extremely well. Tires are in great condition with a lot of tread life left.  The exterior is a 9.5 out of 10. There are two small chips (see photos) one small spider crack on the bumper and one small chipped area in the corner of the rear spoiler, that is it, no other dents or exterior issues.

The interior is extremely clean, non-smoker 8.5 out 10, the drivers seat shows very little wear on the side bolster, the passenger side has a small area on the bolster that delaminated from the mesh backing and can be glued down with fabric adhesive. Both door panels have a small crack in the same location. The rear seats are in new condition as they have rarely if ever been used. The dashboard and center console are in perfect condition. Everything works as intended. Also has T-top holder in the rear cargo area to secure the T-Tops. There is a small gouge in the rear hatch cargo weather stripping but does not affect the sealing ability as there are no leaks.

Overall this is a great example of a well maintained, soon to be classic.

Trans Am Depot teases 2014 GTO

Mon, 24 Jun 2013

Here comes the Judge. Court is in session. The verdict is in. How many more tired clichés can we come up with? It hardly seems to matter, because it's happening: Trans Am Depot has announced via the teaser video below that it is launching a 2014 GTO, complete with Carousel Red (bright orange, really) paint and full Judge badging.
The car is based on Trans Am Depot's 6T9 Goat, which, in case you don't get the reverential references, is meant to mimic the look of the 1969 Pontiac GTO. As with the company's other cars -including the 2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am we recently drove - the GTO will be based on the current Chevy Camaro, which means two doors, V8 engines and rear-wheel drive, just like the muscle cars of days past.
As for actual details of what's under the 2014 GTO's hood, we're completely left hanging. We'd expect some sort of power adder (turbo, supercharger or possibly some other form of a highly massaged version of the Camaro's V8), and we certainly know that GM has any number of hi-po crate engines to choose from.

GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes

Mon, 01 Oct 2012

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
While the list of affected cars and crossovers varies by state and model year, if you own any of these models and live in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma or Texas, be sure to check the official notice below for more details.

GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:
