1999 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 Convertible
(54K Miles) FS/FT

For Sale or Trade is our beautiful Navy Blue Metallic 1999 WS6 Trans AM Convertible. We are the second owners of it. We have used the car for a weekend driver to local car shows and car rally events with the top down on cool Florida nights. We purchased this car to drive and have fun with so it does show some signs of normal use (see pictures below). We are selling the car so we can get started on some of our other project cars (1970 Trans AM) and need the room to do so

The car is completely Stock with a LS1 and a automatic transmission. It has just 54890 original miles and has always been garaged. It has been Very well maintained and babied its whole life. The car runs and drives perfectly and has no issues of any kind including the convertible top

Only 467 Convertibles were produced in 1999 and only a very few Navy Blue Metallic (28U) WS6 Trans Am with  Automatic cars were made in 1999 and it is by far one of the most Desirable color to have in a Convertible.

The paint and body on the car are in great shape and shines like new...it is extremely clean and has no dents or dings of any kind. The car is a convertible and does not leak at all. It also has nearly new (85%) tires on it.

The interior is in great shape as well. The Charcoal leather seats are in great condition with the exceptions of the driver seat showing some wear on the bolster. Please see pictures below

The dash and door panels are also free from cracks or marks. It has key-less entry an Upgraded Alpine Stereo head unit with 10 speaker system.  The Factory speakers were replace because of know issues with them going bad after some use

The car runs and drives out great. The LS1 engine is rated at 320 hp and is VERY strong. It has no modifications and is all original down to the stock exhaust.

The car has ran Mobil 1 synthetic its whole life and has just been serviced. It has no leaks or drips or any other issues...and of course the AC is ice cold.

This car is a great candidate for someone that wants a low mileage, unmolested, un-abused Ram Air Trans Am for their collection or a weekend car show piece

WS6 Trans Am Convertibles in this condition are very desirable and this car will not disappoint! This car is a special car and has been treated like one its whole life.

Finding one of these that's not been wreck or neglected in this kind of shape with this low of miles is just about impossible...especially at this price.

We are opn to trades but BE REALISTIC....I could list things we are interested in but I don't know what you have. It has to be something as cool and nice as this car. I am not interested in boats, race cars, campers or motorcycles.

I can trade up or down with cash going either way!

David Hasselhoff's own KITT replica up for auction

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

Depending on when and where you grew up, the name David Hasselhoff likely conjures up images of Knight Rider, Baywatch, pop singer, or possibly a washed-up TV actor, but one thing that can never be taken away from The Hoff is his connection to one of the greatest automotive icons in pop culture. The Knight Industries Two Thousand, usually shortened to simply KITT, was the real star of Knight Rider for many fans. Based on a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, the car combined snarky quips for comedy relief and stunts to provide much of the show's actions. Now, Julien's Auctions is selling Hasselhoff's own replica as part of a larger sale of the actor's personal memorabilia collection.
This recreation is based on a 1986 Firebird and comes with all of the tech on the inside that now seems hilariously outdated, like the yoke steering wheel and plethora of buttons. The interior also thoughtfully includes a voice box with over 4,000 sound clips from the show. With a 5.0-liter V8 and an automatic transmission, performance is likely adequate and period correct. According to the listing, this car was created by fans and given to the Hoff. Sadly, the replica doesn't convert to Super Pursuit Mode like KITT could in later seasons, and we most associate KITT with conventional front-hinged doors to go with the power t-tops and ejector seats.
Bidding currently sits $27,500 with eight bids, since starting at $15,000. Julien's predicts it will sell for between $30,000 and $50,000. If there is some nostalgia for KITT in your heart, there is still plenty of time to bid.

Rumormill: DeLorean Motor Company considering rescuing Pontiac Solstice?

DeLorean Motor Company Pontiac Solstice renderings - Click above for high-res image gallery
General Motors has made a science out of sharing platforms. So when the company's Kappa platform was introduced for a new rear-drive roadster to be distributed across three different motor divisions, you'd have figured the program was pretty safe, right? Unfortunately for the workers at the Wilmington Assembly Plant which manufactured the Kappa roadsters, those three divisions were Pontiac, Saturn and Opel - three units which the General has either sold or shut down. Which is a shame, because a perfectly good rear-drive roadster platform is a heck of a thing to waste.
In one of the strangest rumors we've heard recently, however, our compatriots over at Jalopnik report that the DeLorean Motor Company (yes, that DeLorean Motor Company) is considering buying the plant and the platform from GM and putting it back into production as a new DMC.

Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial

Sat, 16 Mar 2013

The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
