Thanks for checking out my auction! If you're looking at this car, you probably already know how rare it is - this is one of 535 convertibles, and one of 360 with the 4-speed automatic transmission. I purchased this car from a collector in Illinois back in 2010, and as I now the drive the car less than 500 miles per year, I think it's time to let it go to someone who will have more time to enjoy it, and to take it to the car shows and cruise nights! This beautiful T/A is in excellent condition and is all original, with the exception of a stainless steel Magnaflow cat-back exhaust, which I had installed about two years ago to give the T/A a better sound and to fill up the cutouts in the bumper area a little more. It looks great and sets the car apart from the few others that are out there. The three piece parade boot (in mint condition) comes with the car, along with the original boot bag. All the other 30th Anniversary items (blue convertible top, 30th Anniversary floor mats, owner's manual, 2 sets of key fobs, blue wheels, white leather seats) are in excellent condition. Everything works as it should - power windows, locks, seats, antenna, etc. Air conditioning blows ice cold and works flawlessly. This car is extremely clean, has been well taken care of, and it shows! Heads will turn when you drive by in this beautiful car! |

Watch this garbage truck consume a Pontiac Grand Am
Wed, 15 May 2013When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Next time, we won't feel so guilty about slipping that rusty charcoal grille onto the curb next to the cans on garbage day. Watch the carnage by scrolling below.
Tony Stewart to star in Smoke Is The Bandit web series
Mon, 10 Mar 2014NASCAR driver Tony Stewart is making good use of his nickname Smoke in new videos inspired by the 1970s classic Smokey and the Bandit. The original is one of the quintessential automotive movies of its era with a fantastic combination of slapstick comedy and great car stunts in a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. If you've never seen it, check it out immediately.
In the new six-part Smoke IS the Bandit web series, Stewart takes on the role of Burt Reynolds' famous character complete with huge mustache. But instead of trying to smuggle cases of Coors beer it's Mobil 1 oil. The series promises to recreate many of the famous scenes from the movie and includes cameos from other NASCAR drivers.
To complete the look, future videos just need a quality replacement for a young Sally Field to ride shotgun. It would also be really cool if Reynolds could make a brief appearance at some point. Scroll down to check out the trailer and the first episode in the series.
GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes

General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac.
