History:

The car was parked in a garage for several years, taken it out, did a fuel system, from fuel filter to pump, brake lines, and a few minor stuff, got it going and driven it for a few blocks, the car runs and drives ex, handles great! Everything on it works fine!

It will need the following:
Could use bushings, and a battery cable, I will include this new to go with the car, I just want to keep it all factory oem condition, since it's been parked in the garage, the previous owner stored boxes on top of the hood and has some scratches here and there, and 2 door dings,  due from his wife's car parked next to it in the garage,, the rear spoiler has a crack in it, it was like that for 10 years, I do have another spoiler to go with it also, again just wanna keep it factory,

This car has never had a teenager behind the wheel since new! The original t-tops has never been removed since new! It's a non-smoker since new, the factory t-top bags has never been open nor the spare tire has ever been out of the car, and has the factory air can that's attached to it, it's on it's 2nd set of tires since several years, radio was never taken out, no speaker wires for any type of amp, no performance mods what so ever,  it also has the factory spark plugs and the spark plug wires in there also, this car has never left the state of Texas, our state requires dual license plates, the front plate was never mounted nor has any drill holes installed,    No one has ever sat in the back seat except luggage and books, it has been properly cared for,

The cars performance is really good, great power, great transmission, and has the factory muffler on it, so it was at NO TIME ever abused, it was basically a weekend cruiser since day one! Owner told me the car never seen 78 M.P.H , If you have any questions? Concerns? Please call me or email me at: johnjohninht@gmail.com or call me at: 832-517-0182 the tile is free and clear ,I would like to see this car go to a collector, that can take care of it in every way, and if possible? I would like to buy it back if u ever wanna sell it in the near future, this is the last make for the t/a before the gta model came in 1987, this car was special ordered with no leather, and I also have the factory sun screens for the t-tops in gray, the factory plastic (blue) sun shades bags, which is the rarest I have ever seen! And can not find nowhere...I will set a low reserve on this beauty, So you guys can have a chance to have it in your garage soon! If u call me to make an offer, I will close the auction and take off for a really good price,  Auction will be held for 7 days,

So good luck, happy bidding , and remember,,,,, this is one of the most factory and original cars u can find that's not been abused in any way, no accidents, all numbers matching throughout, no issues with drivability, it's covered and stored inside, no rust, no damage, it's dusty here and there, but again, did not wanna clean it, I will leave it to the new owner,  and if the owner wants to make it a garage queen or his daily driver, as it's almost like new throughout, I will include in the trunk a box filled with new parts to go along with this Trans am, (new) bushings, battery, battery cable, door Sid on passenger side, and a few other stuff,  there is no warranty for this Trans am, it is a used car, so I am not a dealer, just a car buff guy that loves only these late 80's cars, (always did)  who is honest and letting u guys know that the Trans am is in great mechanical condition, so it's as is condition,

So I ask that u are serious buyer and no scams or promises to be made, just serious buyers only please bid, as scams will be reported and gone threw eBay and PayPal,  I will accept a deposit of 750 after the sale is done threw a bank check over nighted to my home, balance of the car can be made threw post office money orders, I will also help with shipping co. After paid in full, I will send u all the paper work, spare keys, bill of sale and a clear tx title for this t/a ( open ) and other spare keys will go with the shipping co, or u are more then welcome to come down to my home in Houston tx to drive it home.....and u can get a 3 day permit from our state to take it back home!
Thanks for reading!

Ps, if you need a special pict on any area of this car? Please call or text me and i will gladly send u a clear view of any location you would like to see and view! As I will be happy to compile with your needs on any part of this sale, I'm here to help, and also would like to say, since I've owned this Trans am, I have put no more then 9 blocks on it, only driven it around the block a few times in several month to follow up with the fuel, other then that, it's been parked and stored As u can see in the Picts, I have also taken night Picts so u guys can get an idea of what it looks like at night with the gauges working and all the lights,
Thanks agin,

Lutz says Washington killed Pontiac, next G6 was to be ATS derivative

Tue, 29 Oct 2013

How many people think Buick or GMC should have gotten the axe instead of Pontiac? You can't see it, but I'm raising my hand. Autoweek reports that former Vice Chairman of GM, Bob Lutz, has indicated that things didn't have to end up the way they did.
"The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.'"
In a talk given at the Petersen Automotive Museum for the Inside the MotoMan Studio series, Lutz says "The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.' So, it goes. And when the guy who is handing you the check for $53 billion says, 'I don't want Pontiac, drop Pontiac or you don't get the money,' it doesn't take you very long to make up your mind." Lutz even added that the next-generation Pontiac G6 would have benefitted from the rear-wheel-drive platform of the Cadillac ATS. How awesome would that have been?

2008-2009 Pontiac G8 recalled over airbag concern

Mon, 07 Nov 2011

General Motors is recalling around 38,000 Pontiac G8 sedans from its 2008 and 2009 model years. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that the cars may have a passenger-side airbag flaw that might prevent proper deployment in certain scenarios.
According to NHTSA, the airbag might not adequately protect a fifth percentile woman - that is, a woman around four-foot, 11-inches weighing 108 pounds. The New York Times indicates that the anomaly was found during a crash test conducted by GM's Australian branch, Holden, which was testing the G8's twin (read: Commodore) for head injuries. According to that report, the test in question is specifically tailored to simulate injuries to females, so the results do not apply to men or children.
The issue has been blamed on a seat position sensor that governs airbag deployment rates. NHTSA indicates that when the front passenger seat is moved all the way forward, the faulty sensor may inappropriately trigger a 30-millisecond delay between airbag stages, potentially leading to greater injuries.

STUDY: Ford owns brand loyalty in 2009; Scorned Saturn, Pontiac buyers will look outside of GM

Fri, 16 Oct 2009

Ford buyers appear to love their cars more than customers of any other automotive brand, returning back to the American automaker when it comes time to purchase their next vehicle. According to a study by Experian Automotive, six of the top 10 vehicles for customer brand loyalty wear badges from the Blue Oval. That includes the Ford Fusion (62.4 percent), Ford Edge (57.9 percent), Ford Five Hundred/Taurus (56 percent), Ford Freestyle (51.9 percent), Ford Escape (49.4 percent) and the Ford Focus (47.57 percent).
Other vehicles making up the top 10 include the Toyota Prius (52 percent), Chevy Impala (51.7 percent), Toyota Camry (47.8 percent) and Toyota Corolla (47.56 percent). This brings up an interesting question: With the closing of automotive brands like Saturn and Pontiac, where are those buyers to turn for their next automotive purchase?
Apparently, not back to General Motors. According to Experian, Pontiac owners are most likely to look to the Ford lineup for their next car or truck and Saturn shoppers will switch to Toyota or Honda - not particularly surprising given that Saturn was meant to compete with import brands. Experian predicts that GM's overall market share will fall from 20 percent to about 17.5 percent, with most of the slack being picked up by Ford, Honda and Toyota.
