Asking Price $25,000 OBO All Reasonable Offers Considered Mileage as of this date is original 12,674 Miles. Was sold to a dealer in PA originally. Was bought from Tom Hegland in Minnesota with whom we still keep in contact with after all this time. Tom is a huge seller of Rims on ebay and is a renowned and respected Trans Am collector. ebay handle is TATA455. Tom knows this car well. What is the worst thing about this car? Needs a head liner. I have done headliners in the past and it is not hard. I just do not have the time. Some of the plastic panels could use a repaint as well. Minor stuff really. Super clean car on top, engine bay and underneath. Come and check it out in person. There is a matter of the original Black paint being light on the bottom of the passenger and
drivers doors. Does it mean that the
paint is crap and the car needs to be repainted? Absolutely not. No.
It is just light paint that was common in 1979 for some reason in the
lower areas. Not a big deal really and it is original which counts. 1979 Trans Ams probably had more problems with paint than all the other years put together. I certainly would just wash the car, clean it up and enjoy it. Have a look at the video and call me if you want more details. I personally don’t think that it is a big issue especially when you consider the nice patina that this car has after 34 years. Good running. Strong running car. The water pump was replaced in the summer of 2012. Just started leaking a little so I replaced it. What does this car need? Needs a good washing and cleaning and to be driven more. Contact InformationCall or email me ( John Shaw ) about the cars. Do not call Tom please. Tom can assist you in seeing the cars since he is always there. I will discuss price and any other information that you want to know about the cars. Thank you John ----------------------------------------- John Shaw ...............

This Auto Aerobics car art ties our brains in knots like pretzels
Sat, 14 Dec 2013We like cars, and we like art. Naturally, Chris Labrooy's Auto Aerobics series - computer-generated images of some seriously contorted 1968 Pontiac Bonnevilles floating in mid-air - instantly clicked with us. If the Pontiacs weren't floating or hollow, we could be fooled into believing the image is real. But where's the fun in that?
Check out the gallery we included of Labrooy's Bonneville art, and feel free too head over to his website for some Formula One humor.
Trans Am Depot teases 2014 GTO
Mon, 24 Jun 2013Here comes the Judge. Court is in session. The verdict is in. How many more tired clichés can we come up with? It hardly seems to matter, because it's happening: Trans Am Depot has announced via the teaser video below that it is launching a 2014 GTO, complete with Carousel Red (bright orange, really) paint and full Judge badging.
The car is based on Trans Am Depot's 6T9 Goat, which, in case you don't get the reverential references, is meant to mimic the look of the 1969 Pontiac GTO. As with the company's other cars -including the 2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am we recently drove - the GTO will be based on the current Chevy Camaro, which means two doors, V8 engines and rear-wheel drive, just like the muscle cars of days past.
As for actual details of what's under the 2014 GTO's hood, we're completely left hanging. We'd expect some sort of power adder (turbo, supercharger or possibly some other form of a highly massaged version of the Camaro's V8), and we certainly know that GM has any number of hi-po crate engines to choose from.
Rumormill: DeLorean Motor Company considering rescuing Pontiac Solstice?
Wed, 07 Oct 2009 DeLorean Motor Company Pontiac Solstice renderings - Click above for high-res image gallery
General Motors has made a science out of sharing platforms. So when the company's Kappa platform was introduced for a new rear-drive roadster to be distributed across three different motor divisions, you'd have figured the program was pretty safe, right? Unfortunately for the workers at the Wilmington Assembly Plant which manufactured the Kappa roadsters, those three divisions were Pontiac, Saturn and Opel - three units which the General has either sold or shut down. Which is a shame, because a perfectly good rear-drive roadster platform is a heck of a thing to waste.
In one of the strangest rumors we've heard recently, however, our compatriots over at Jalopnik report that the DeLorean Motor Company (yes, that DeLorean Motor Company) is considering buying the plant and the platform from GM and putting it back into production as a new DMC.
