1976 Pontiac Trans AM White with White leather seats 400 Auto A/C Tilt Power windows.

Previous owner stated it is a 50000 Original mile car I can not verify that but it does appear to be Dash is excellent , seats, pedals, S wheel, console all show low wear.
The car was overheated, motor was pulled for rebuild and never re-installed.
Car has been off the road since 2002 in the mean time the original motor has been misplaced, lost, sold I am not sure, but comes with a 1974 400 and 7H1 heads.
What is there; Complete car with excellent body no rot only minor rust shown in pics, 4 brand new, and I mean Brand NEW, BF Goodrich Radial TA's mounted on stock Ralley wheels as shown, All hard to find parts Hood Scoop, brackets, factory space saver spare with air charge container, stock trans and converter (still in car), A/C compressor with lines (still in car), NEW Radiator, New Heater core, Leather buckets and rear seat in great shape for the age. '74 400 motor and 7H1 heads in need of rebuild, Factory Exhaust with dual chrome tips in great shape, Clean Title and keys, this is a CA car on a California non op so there are no back fees if sold in CA it will go with original blue plates if sold out of state they will be removed.
What I do not have; Motor has no cam, timing cover, timing components, head bolts, push rods, intake manifold, carb or distributor all stuff you would probably upgrade anyway, I can throw in a QJ core though it will not be correct for the car.
Carpet will need to be replaced and there is a small hole inside the console, car should be painted.
I probably missed something but if I think of anythinfg else I will add info, Feel free to ask all questions.
I can package and load everything into the car for transport
This car is in super shape for the age and will make a for quick restore because of the condition, this will be a very nice car when done. Thanks for Looking

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit

Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.

1939 Pontiac Ghost Car commands $308,000 at auction

Mon, 01 Aug 2011

For the 1939 World's Fair, Pontiac built a Deluxe Six bodied in Plexiglass. Part of the Previews of Progress pavilion in which General Motors' Futurama showed off what was to come in the world of autos, the 'invisible' Pontiac is credited as the first transparent car in America. And there were no shortcuts taken with its body: the Plexiglass form was fabricated by the company that brought the material to market in 1933, Rohm & Haas.
The see-through sedan was sold at RM Auctions' St. John's auction in Michigan on July 30, fetching $308,000. Not bad appreciation for a domestic oddity that cost $25,000 to build when new. You can check out the high-res gallery of its innards, including copper and chrome metalwork and white moldings and wheels, and get the exhaustive details on it after the jump.

Lutz says GM was working on 5th-gen Pontiac GTO

Thu, 08 Aug 2013

Bob Lutz was one of the forces behind bringing the Holden Monaro to the United States, as the ill-fated Pontiac GTO in 2004. And while that car received critical acclaim, it was a sales disappointment. Now, Road & Track is reporting that our suspicions were correct - Pontiac was working on a two-door, G8-based coupe before it was shuttered.
In that R&T article, which is no longer available online, Lutz explained that the new GTO would solve many of the issues found in the original. Car Advice speculates that the new model would have look like a rebadged version of the Holden Coupe 60 Concept from 2008, a conclusion we also came to.
That car would have been a big departure from the 2004 to 2006 GTO. It has an extremely long hood and short rear deck, with an almost fastback roofline and a wide greenhouse with a tall beltline. The wheel arches were very pronounced, and the chin and rocker panel splitters gave it a race-ready look. Would it have been enough to make the GTO work in the US? We think it might of, but it looks like we'll never know.
