This is my daughters 2004 Pontiac Sunfire SE Coupe. We bought it 3 years ago and she drove it to school her junior and senior years. She recently developed some health problems and is not able to drive anymore. I don't need the car and hate to see it sit and degrade from not being used.

It is a very nice , clean, non smoking, no pets, economical vehicle. Would make a great , sporty vehicle for a student or commuter.  It had some clear coat peeling off of the top, hood and trunk but we had it professionally stripped and painted recently. Wow! what a difference. Looks new. It runs and drives great and gets great fuel mileage. She averaged 29-30 driving to school about 12 miles away. Highway mileage gets about 34-35 mpg. It has no leaks and is very dry underneath and everything works with no check engine lights. Could not ask for a car in to be in better condition for the year. Still has the original factory window sticker in the glovebox. Originally cost $19,380.00 new.

Cold AC, hot heat, sunroof works great, dual exhaust, KENWOOD AM/FM/CD Player with USB and ipod connection. Cruise, tilt, power windows, power door locks, 60/40 rear seats, remote mirrors, pulse / delay wipers, aluminum/chrome wheels, tires have about 10,000 miles on them. Tires still in great condition. Wheels are in great shape with no road rash. The gravel on the driveway is reflected in the chrome wheels in the pictures. There is not anything wrong with the wheel chrome. Had new front brake rotors and ceramic pads installed about 3500 miles ago.

Clear title with no accidents, floods etc. Take a look at the pictures and see if this is the car for your son or daughter or even you. Car is for sale locally so auction could end early.  Thanks  Keith

1969 Pontiac GTO Judge vs. 2006 GTO, which Goat gets your vote?

Mon, 08 Sep 2014

The Pontiac GTO was perhaps the most iconic muscle car of the '60s and early '70s. With its beefy V8 and color palette screaming for attention, it summarized in a single vehicle everything that made the era so appealing to many young people. Pontiac tried to collect just a few drops of that aura again in the 2000s with a revived GTO, but with decidedly mixed results. The performance was still there with its big V8, but the looks never quite lived up to the powertrain. Now, Generation Gap wants to know which of these Goats is the one to own.
Things are skewed immediately because the 2006 GTO here is a real ringer. It comes from famous tuner Ken Lingenfelter's collection, and it's a one-off example partially fettled by GM Performance boasting a twin-turbocharged LS2 V8 with a claimed 750 horsepower and a wide-body kit. This Goat definitely isn't what you're going to find just browsing for one to buy in the newspaper. Still, dip the throttle just a little, and this GTO pulls like a freight train. It's enough to turn the two hosts into giggling schoolboys behind the wheel.
The '69 GTO Judge here is also out of Lingenfelter's collection, but this one is all stock with a 400-cubic-inch (6.6-liter) V8 and a Ram Air hood for a claimed 366 hp. It might not have the unbelievable power of the turbo '06, but it makes up for it with style to spare.

Airbag recall adds 85k Pontiac Vibes to tally

Fri, 13 Jun 2014

The repairs needed for the faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata continue to expand. Toyota initially announced a recall of 766,300 vehicles equipped with the bad part on June 11 as a followup to a campaign from 2013. Soon after, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened a preliminary evaluation into five automakers who also used the component in their models. Now, NHTSA has released the official announcement of the latest Toyota recall listing 844,277 affected cars, including the newly added 2003-2004 Pontiac Vibe.
While NHTSA's document didn't include a model-by-model breakdown, General Motors spokesperson Alan Adler estimated to Autoblog that roughly 85,000 Vibes in the US would be covered under the latest recall. Like the rest of the affected models, the airbag inflator could rupture in a crash causing the bag not to work correctly, possibly spraying metal fragments at the occupant.
Toyota spokesperson Cindy Knight told Autoblog that the reason for the disparity between the earlier press release and NHTSA document was that Toyota was continuing to comb through VINs to create a list of affected vehicles. The original number was an estimate of that process at the time. Scroll down to the recall report from NHTSA.

GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:
