DRY, RUST FREE WESTERN BODY!!!!! CLEAR TITLE!!! Brought to Ohio from California in 1998 and taken apart to restore in 1999. As you can see it never got finished. This is how I found it. I have cleaned it up sorted it out and realized I don't have time to finnish it. The car was built in California. (z code) This car has the nicest, most rust-free floors and body you'll ever see in Ohio! It was never undercoated, you can wipe the dirt off the floor pan and see original paint. It has the paper GM part tags still attached to the rear coil springs. Previous owner pulled the engine and trans ,bumpers and front sheet metal so he could paint the car, well, he got the car primered and firewall and fender wells as well as the underside of the hood painted and that's about all. Then it sat until he passed a couple of years ago. I gathered every thing I could find to the car and here it is. The odometer shows 37,000 miles but the title says non actual. I believe the cars condition tells the real story and it could be actual miles. The original 326 V-8 is currently oiled down and sitting back in place under the hood, it looks complete and should run. The GTO Hood, His / Hers shifter and red interior was added years ago and is in good shape. This car is a factory A/C, Power steering, bucket seat, console car originally. White body w/Parchment interior. The interior will need new door panels and a headliner. The only rust on this car is the bottom of the L ft. fender about the size of a playing card. There is small dent in the R. rocker panel and the normal small dings here and there BUT overall its straight and solid! If you have a rusty GTO project this body will save you thousands in rust repair and body work! I know, I have restored classic cars for over 30 years. This car is not cheap due to the fact that is a DRY, Rust Free, Western car and its true value is probably as a high dollar GTO restoration donor car, like it or not so please, save the Hate mail! Included are 5-14x7 Pontiac Ralleye wheels, 2 with the black center caps and 4 original T-3 headlights. The chrome trim, A/C box and exhaust manifolds are in the trunk. I have the old bumpers but they need re-chromed. The grilles are in fair condition but usable, the right one is missing the chrome trim. The headlight bezals are Nice! Parts that are missing include the radiator, starter, drive shaft, A/C brackets, cowl vent panel and the chrome rocker moldings. The front brakes have been dis-assembled but it rolls freely and I can help load it or possibly deliver for $1.25 per mile one way from 43055. eBay Find of the Day: 1967 Pontiac GTO Monkeemobile
Sun, 29 Apr 2012Say what you will about The Monkees, but the guys in the band had great taste in automobiles. Take the Monkeemobile, for example. Built off a 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible, the custom featured genuinely interesting bodywork and some wild engine bolt-ons. If you're a fan of 1960s pop and yearn to relive the genre's glory days, eBay Motors may have what you need. A recreation of the 1967 Monkeemobile has showed up for auction. This particular replica was built by Dakota County Customs using an four-speed GTO, just like the original.
Built for the band's 45th anniversary and the final Monkees tour last year, this Monkeemobile is faithful down to every last detail. Unfortunately, the trumpet exhaust poking out of the front fender wells and the massive gold-flake blower are for show only. Seems fitting.

Lutz says Washington killed Pontiac, next G6 was to be ATS derivative
Tue, 29 Oct 2013How many people think Buick or GMC should have gotten the axe instead of Pontiac? You can't see it, but I'm raising my hand. Autoweek reports that former Vice Chairman of GM, Bob Lutz, has indicated that things didn't have to end up the way they did.
"The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.'"
In a talk given at the Petersen Automotive Museum for the Inside the MotoMan Studio series, Lutz says "The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.' So, it goes. And when the guy who is handing you the check for $53 billion says, 'I don't want Pontiac, drop Pontiac or you don't get the money,' it doesn't take you very long to make up your mind." Lutz even added that the next-generation Pontiac G6 would have benefitted from the rear-wheel-drive platform of the Cadillac ATS. How awesome would that have been?
GM doing fine at retaining Pontiac owners
Fri, 28 Oct 2011This isn't the first time we've reported positive news about General Motors retaining former Pontiac owners. Get a few more stories like this latest report from Edmund's Auto Observer, and it will mark an ongoing positive trend for GM. Edmunds.com crunched the numbers to see how well the General is hanging on to customers after shutting out the lights at Pontiac, and it found that nearly 40 percent of Pontiac owners stayed with a vehicle from a General Motors brand.
The numbers are a little lower than an earlier R.L. Polk & Company study, but Edmunds says General Motors is keeping more former Pontiac buyers than it has since 2007. Most are turning to vehicles from Chevrolet, especially during January and February of 2011, when GM incentivized Pontiac owners to stay under the umbrella. Those moves seem to have worked, and 28.1 percent of Pontiac owners trading up made the jump into a Bowtie.
Buyers that have gone elsewhere have largely stayed loyal to Domestic automakers, with Ford picking up the most conquests from Pontiac, with 9.4 percent switching. Toyota and Honda picked up 7.4 percent of the pool of former Pontiac drivers. The numbers are defying any predictions that Pontiac buyers would completely exit the General Motors fold, and have climbed up closer to parity with the retention figures of other GM brands from a 2009 low of only 16 percent retention.
