Up for auction is a 1963 Pontiac Lemans convertible with a 326 V 2 bbl , it has a brand new interior, all the interior sheet metal has been painted, new front seats, which if you know these cars, the seats are not reproduced and are a 1 year seats they weren't cheap to have made, new rug, the only thing needed for interior cmpletion are door panels, have the originals , but coud use replacement, new convertibe top pistons, top has beem replaced and in nice shape, 80,000 miles on the 326 runs great, smokes a little on start up but goes away when warmed pretty normal for a motor of this age, have original steering wheel and air cleaner, body is pretty solid, doors fender ,quarters are solid,no rust, the floor had a few small spots but were repaired and painted before rug was installed, trunk looks solid from underneath, but someone decided to put a coat of fiberglass on top as you can see in the pics, but wheel wells are solid even where attched to trunk floor, so I doubt there is much of an issue below the glass, the rockers are solid outside, but inside are a litte rusted from what I coud se when I had it on he lift. Any b;ack primered areas have been stripped and need only finish body work, silver area's need stripping,so this is a nice solid start to a nice solid, original Lemans, good luck bidding.

GM expands ignition switch recall to over 1.3 million cars amid climbing death toll
Tue, 25 Feb 2014
588,000 Saturn Sky, Saturn Ion, Pontiac Solstice and Chevy HHR models join the 778,000 cars already being recalled.
General Motors has announced a massive expansion of a 778,000-unit recall we told you about two weeks ago, doubling not only the total number of cars affected but expanding the recall beyond Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 models previously mentioned. The recall originally centered around ignition switches that could slip out of the "run" position if jostled or if any weight was applied to the key in the cylinder.
General Lee takes on Bandit T/A in classic Hollywood car showdown [w/poll]
Fri, 26 Aug 2011You don't have to be born in the 1960s or 1970s to be able to recognize the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard and the Pontiac Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit. These old school four-wheeled stars seem to transcend demographics thanks to the miles of film that show the orange 1969 Dodge Charger and the jet-black 1977 Pontiac Trans Am performing seemingly impossible stunts.
The folks at Hot Rod magazine are obviously hip to this fact, and they put together a fun video in tribute of the instantly recognizable duo. Hit the jump to watch on as Sam Young and James Smith replace Bo Duke and The Bandit for a bit of dirt-road shenanigans in a pair of otherwise well cared for classics. We're not so sure we'd call it the best chase scene ever, but it sure looks like a lot of fun.
More importantly, which of these two cars would you rather own? Have your say in our poll below.
Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day
Thu, 07 Jun 2012Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.
