Selling my 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GT 4D Sedan

*NOTE ABOUT PICTURES: The pictures were taken after a wash so that's water on the ground around the car not fluids. HAHA I just realized that the water on the ground in the pics makes it look like the car is in dire condition. :P

Odometer reads about 166,432
Color: Dark Blue exterior with Graphite/Dark Gray Interior.

I am selling it because I am getting another car as a gift from a family member and no longer need this car.

SMOGS EXCELLENT. 2015 Tags!

It has excellent MPG. About 23 mpg in the city and up to 28 mpg highway. Most of the miles on this car are freeway miles. I talked to a dealership before deciding to do a private sale and they looked at the car fax and told me it has NEVER been in a wreck. So that's good.

The trunk is SOOOO spacious. The back seats have plenty of room and I love the interior.

The previous owner put in an upgraded CD player from the original cassette player that came with the car.

Driver side seat warmer.

A few issues (because I hate being a dishonest seller)....
The driver's side window won't roll down. It never bothered me because the weather is so nice here and the other three rolling down made it fine.

The air conditioner needs to be recharged. Also has never bugged me so I never got it recharged. Heater works great!

Small fluid leak. I just got the Racket Pinion and Power Steering Pump fixed but there is a small leak somewhere else that began recently. However I am about to get my new car so I just lowered my asking price. I just had power steering fluid topped off a few days ago.

The check engine light sometimes comes on and off randomly. However I took it in and they ran a test and said it was a small glitch in the computer and not an engine problem. They said my engine is great, hence why it smogs so well.

See photos and PLEASE ask me any questions you may have BEFORE bidding.

Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial

Sat, 16 Mar 2013

The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.

Watch this garbage truck consume a Pontiac Grand Am

Wed, 15 May 2013

When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Next time, we won't feel so guilty about slipping that rusty charcoal grille onto the curb next to the cans on garbage day. Watch the carnage by scrolling below.

Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day

Thu, 07 Jun 2012

Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.
