1976 Pontiac Grand Prix Base Coupe 2-door 5.7l - on 2040-cars
Cleveland, Ohio, United States
Hello, and thanks for looking at our 1976 Grand Prix. the car is two-tone black and silver . The car is equipped with a 350 engine and automatic transmission. The car has air conditioning but most likely needs a charge. The car will need an exhaust from the converter back. The interior front seat needs to be recovered. The back seat is presentable, the carpet is fair and the tires are about 80%. The front brakes are new and the engine and transmission work perfectly. The underneath of the car is solid as a rock. Although this car is not perfect, with a little love it could be very very nice. Check out the pictures and bid accordingly. Also, the rear bumper is bent but the frame is 100% perfect.
The 35,440 miles are exceeded and the title is clean. This will be a 7 day auction with no reserve. The last highest bidder when the auction is over wins my car. I would like payment by either CASH OR WIRE TRANSFER ONLY, within 48 hours. We do not use Paypal, checks, or credit cards. I also ask that the winner of the car calls in the morning to complete this transaction. I would like the car picked up within 7 days because I don’t want to be responsible for the car and I could really use the room. This car will be locked up and kept safe in a garage. I will not pay for shipping, but I will assist your shipper in pickup. If I don’t hear from the winning bidder within 24 hours after the auction is over, I will offer the runner-up bidder a second chance to buy the car through a Second Chance Offer. If you can’t personally make it out to see the car before bidding, please consider sending out a local mechanic to check out the car for you and give you a complete inspection. I’m selling this car as-is because I’m not a dealer and there’s no way that I can offer a warranty on a 38-year old car. If you have any questions about this car feel free to call Lou at 216-210-8488. Thank you for reading all of the information about my car, and good luck to all bidders. Enjoy the auction. |

Watch this garbage truck consume a Pontiac Grand Am
Wed, 15 May 2013When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Next time, we won't feel so guilty about slipping that rusty charcoal grille onto the curb next to the cans on garbage day. Watch the carnage by scrolling below.
2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am
Mon, 13 May 2013No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.

GM expands ignition switch recall to over 1.3 million cars amid climbing death toll
Tue, 25 Feb 2014
588,000 Saturn Sky, Saturn Ion, Pontiac Solstice and Chevy HHR models join the 778,000 cars already being recalled.
General Motors has announced a massive expansion of a 778,000-unit recall we told you about two weeks ago, doubling not only the total number of cars affected but expanding the recall beyond Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 models previously mentioned. The recall originally centered around ignition switches that could slip out of the "run" position if jostled or if any weight was applied to the key in the cylinder.
