Offering a very clean and honest 1971 Pontiac Grand Prix for sale. The car is 99% rust free and it has never been hit. All original sheet metal. Floors and trunk solid. Original interior. Numbers matching 400 CID and Turbo 400. I bought the car a while back to restore but other projects need my attention. The car is dependable and can be used as a daily driver. I have receipts for over $3000 in mechanical repairs and upgrades done when I first purchased car. The car has an entirely new exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers. New KYB gas shocks. New MSD plug and play electronic distributor, new MSD wires, new plugs, new radiator, new belts, hoses, and thermostat, freshly rebuilt original QJet, new idler arm. I went through and replaced everything that had been neglected. The car needs some very minor rust repair at bottoms of rear part of both front fenders. Front of rear wheel wells have similar rust pinholes. This is the only rust on car and it is very typical for this model. Aside from a minor dent in the hood and some small dings the car is extremely solid. Paint and a new vinyl top would finish off the exterior nicely. Both bumpers and the grill are mint. All trim is mint. Glass is good. Interior is all original but could use fresh carpet and seat covers. Door panels are ok. I have new mint black door panels and a very nice black dash that go with car as well as many other extra parts. Have rally gauges in an extra dash. I was going to change interior over to black. I am offering the car at no reserve because I believe in a true open auction format. The car is for sale locally so bid with confidence. I have owned several Grand Prix over the years and many GTOs. This is one of the best original cars that I've seen. The dual snorkel air cleaner is an add on because I had it and it is fully functional. It is mint. I will happily help in any way with shipping or transport. Thanks for looking. I can be reached at (208)250-9978. Ask for Jeff

Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day
Thu, 07 Jun 2012Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.
2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am
Mon, 13 May 2013No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.

David Hasselhoff's own KITT replica up for auction
Tue, 08 Apr 2014Depending on when and where you grew up, the name David Hasselhoff likely conjures up images of Knight Rider, Baywatch, pop singer, or possibly a washed-up TV actor, but one thing that can never be taken away from The Hoff is his connection to one of the greatest automotive icons in pop culture. The Knight Industries Two Thousand, usually shortened to simply KITT, was the real star of Knight Rider for many fans. Based on a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, the car combined snarky quips for comedy relief and stunts to provide much of the show's actions. Now, Julien's Auctions is selling Hasselhoff's own replica as part of a larger sale of the actor's personal memorabilia collection.
This recreation is based on a 1986 Firebird and comes with all of the tech on the inside that now seems hilariously outdated, like the yoke steering wheel and plethora of buttons. The interior also thoughtfully includes a voice box with over 4,000 sound clips from the show. With a 5.0-liter V8 and an automatic transmission, performance is likely adequate and period correct. According to the listing, this car was created by fans and given to the Hoff. Sadly, the replica doesn't convert to Super Pursuit Mode like KITT could in later seasons, and we most associate KITT with conventional front-hinged doors to go with the power t-tops and ejector seats.
Bidding currently sits $27,500 with eight bids, since starting at $15,000. Julien's predicts it will sell for between $30,000 and $50,000. If there is some nostalgia for KITT in your heart, there is still plenty of time to bid.
