Up for auction 1967 gto project. What you see in the pictures will be what the car will come with. I have a shop full of 64 and 65 gtos and need no more projects. I purchased several 67 gtos a while ago that have been sitting for years and I do mean years. I believe the interior and carpet are original that came with the car so that will tell you a long time.  The car comes with I believe the original 400 trans. and I will set a extra 400 standard bare block in the car with crank if the new owner so desires. The fluid is still nice and red in the trans so it will make a good one to freshin up. The car needs a trunk pan, partial floors and the typical rust repairs that these 45 year old cars need. The hood is not nice and a new one would be your best bet. They are cheap and are worth the time you save on body work. The dash has rust issues at the front of the dash from no windshield for years. With that being said I took pictures down the sides of the quarters and the car is extremely straight. I do not see any frame issues or rust through on the frame. The car is  factory air conditioning, power steering, floor shift 400 auto and would have came with a 400. The car is the desired KK paint (GULF TURQUOISE) Interior (MARINER TURQUOISE)   When I bought the car I shot it with black epoxy primer and then it was sealed with a quart of the KK paint code as I do not have room to store it in my shop out of the weather so has been sitting outside. This will be a pretty car when finished.  This is being sold with Bill of Sale only. If you are unable to get a title in your state I can assist in getting one from this state.  Ask all questions before you bid on this beauty. NO 0 feedback people unless Im contacted first.

Hurst Edition Trans Am proves the Screaming Chicken will rise from the ashes

Wed, 31 Oct 2012

It seems the Pontiac Trans Am steadfastly refuses to die. Ever since Chevrolet was granted a retrofied Camaro to compete with the Ford Mustang, Pontiac lovers have lamented the loss of this 1970s icon. And, looking at the Hurst Edition from Trans Am Depot, shown here at the 2012 SEMA Show, may explain what all the fuss is about.
It's not going to appeal to everyone's muscle-car tastes, but there's certainly room for a brash-and-bold black-and-gold Special Edition in many a Trans Am lover's garage. After all, if you want the keys to a custom pony car, you'll certainly get noticed in this one. If this scheme isn't your bag,, you can alternatively order your Hurst Edition in white and gold or silver and black. Oh, and don't forget a color-coordinated Screaming Chicken on the hood.
No matter which way you choose to go, your inner Burt Reynolds will appreciate the Eibach suspension kit, forged wheels with Pirelli PZero tires, functional shaker hood, fender air extractors, rear spoiler and, of course, a Hurst shifter inside. The interior is emblazoned with all manner of special touches, including a Hurst dash plate and T/A stitching on the Katzkin two-tone leather seats.

Looking back at Oprah's free-car giveaway 10 years later

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."

eBay Find of the Day: 1967 Pontiac GTO Monkeemobile

Sun, 29 Apr 2012

Say what you will about The Monkees, but the guys in the band had great taste in automobiles. Take the Monkeemobile, for example. Built off a 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible, the custom featured genuinely interesting bodywork and some wild engine bolt-ons. If you're a fan of 1960s pop and yearn to relive the genre's glory days, eBay Motors may have what you need. A recreation of the 1967 Monkeemobile has showed up for auction. This particular replica was built by Dakota County Customs using an four-speed GTO, just like the original.
Built for the band's 45th anniversary and the final Monkees tour last year, this Monkeemobile is faithful down to every last detail. Unfortunately, the trumpet exhaust poking out of the front fender wells and the massive gold-flake blower are for show only. Seems fitting.
If you like what you see, this machine is up for bid in Richfield, Minnesota with two days left on the auctions. So far, bidding as whipped up to $60,000 with the reserve not met. Head over to eBay Motors to have a look.
