The car that is for sale is a 1966 Pontiac GTO. This car i am selling for someone I know through were I work. I drove the car and it runs great and drives good. I do have a list of upgrades that the car has. The condition on the car looks nice for a 48 year old car it has had new paint that looks in nice shape but does have a few chips in it. The body did have new quarters installed on the rear and the underside looks nice. The one thing that I did notice is the brakes may need to be bleed out due to the car sitting and it doesn't get driven much (just on nice days). The engine has been rebuilt about 8 years ago by Autohaus in Shawano, Wisconsin. Also the body was rebiult about 15 years ago. The body was very rust free prior to body being done but the quarters were replaced due to damage. The car has been well taken care of over the years and have invested $36,000 in car.. *The engine has been replaced with a 1971 400 ci engine bored .030. *Crank was been Nitrated. *Ross Forged 150 dome pistons. *Comp Cam .594 custom solid cam. *Eagle H connecting rods. *Crane Cams 1.65 full roller rockers. *Accu drive gear timing drive. *Fluiddampener silicon harmonic dampener. *Edlebrock 72cc Aluminum ram air heads, ported and shaved .010. Compression ratio 12.6 to 1 *Edlebrock victor intake port matched. *Speed Demon 850 cfm carb. *Mallory unilite distributor. *MSD 6al ignition. *MSD in car timing control. *Richmond pro series differential with 373 gears. *Hurst line lock. *Hooker 2" ram air headers. *Flowmaster 3" exhaust with 3 chamber Flowmaster mufflers. *Mallory electric fuel pump at the tank. *Hurst shifter with B&M shift handle that has the line lock button in it. *Ladder traction bars. *Sport comp. 5" tach with shift light and memory recall. *Custom built driveshaft. *Front and Rear Bumpers with Show Chrome. *All interior replaced from Original parts group.

Saturn Vue ignition switch leads to new group of GM recalls totaling 312k
Fri, 08 Aug 2014General Motors has another spate of recalls to announce. This time they cover 312,280 vehicles worldwide, including 269,041 of in the US, in a total of six campaigns. In 2014, the automaker has recalled 29,079,765 vehicles worldwide, with 25,754,356 of those in the US.
The largest among them covers 215,243 units of the Saturn Vue from 2002-2004 model years worldwide, 202,115 in the US. It's possible for the for the key to be removed even when the ignition isn't in the OFF position. The company knows of two crashes and one injury caused by this problem. Dealers are checking the parts and replacing the ignition cylinder and key set, if necessary.
Next is 72,826 models worldwide (48,059 vehicles in the US) of the 2013 Cadillac ATS four-door sedan, 2013 Buick Encore and 2013 Chevy Trax in Canada. It's possible that the for lap belt pretensioner to retract but not to lock, which could increase occupant movement during a crash. Both front, outboard lap belt pretensioners are being replaced, and a stop-sale is in effect on unsold models until the problem is repaired. There are no known crashes or injuries, though.
2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am
Mon, 13 May 2013No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.

General Lee takes on Bandit T/A in classic Hollywood car showdown [w/poll]
Fri, 26 Aug 2011You don't have to be born in the 1960s or 1970s to be able to recognize the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard and the Pontiac Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit. These old school four-wheeled stars seem to transcend demographics thanks to the miles of film that show the orange 1969 Dodge Charger and the jet-black 1977 Pontiac Trans Am performing seemingly impossible stunts.
The folks at Hot Rod magazine are obviously hip to this fact, and they put together a fun video in tribute of the instantly recognizable duo. Hit the jump to watch on as Sam Young and James Smith replace Bo Duke and The Bandit for a bit of dirt-road shenanigans in a pair of otherwise well cared for classics. We're not so sure we'd call it the best chase scene ever, but it sure looks like a lot of fun.
