Just don't expect perfection, as it is 14 years old; of course it has some minor imperfections. There are a couple of MINOR scratches and one SMALL (fingernail-sized) dent on the hood, and a scuff on the rear bumper (none of these are visible from 5 feet away, IMO). Also, both inside plastic door panels have a crack (from the sun), but have been fused (not sure if that's the word) to prevent further cracking.The rear brakes are getting low, and the outer tie rods need replacing sooner rather than later.The motor and transmission are excellent."

I have owned this TA for 9 years and it has not seen winter; no rust. I have ALWAYS used Mobil 1 5w30 and Premium Gasoline (92 or 93 octane). I bought another car last fall and simply don't need to drive the TA anymore. :(

The only modifications to this car are: a switch to control the radio antenna, a JVC CD Player, K&N Clear Air Intake, and Cut Out Exhaust. I have the stock CD player, stock air intake, and a cover for the cut-out exhaust.

I have a lot of paperwork (records) and random bulbs and things from the past 9 years (they will come with the car).

GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable

General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.

Saturn Vue ignition switch leads to new group of GM recalls totaling 312k

General Motors has another spate of recalls to announce. This time they cover 312,280 vehicles worldwide, including 269,041 of in the US, in a total of six campaigns. In 2014, the automaker has recalled 29,079,765 vehicles worldwide, with 25,754,356 of those in the US.
The largest among them covers 215,243 units of the Saturn Vue from 2002-2004 model years worldwide, 202,115 in the US. It's possible for the for the key to be removed even when the ignition isn't in the OFF position. The company knows of two crashes and one injury caused by this problem. Dealers are checking the parts and replacing the ignition cylinder and key set, if necessary.
Next is 72,826 models worldwide (48,059 vehicles in the US) of the 2013 Cadillac ATS four-door sedan, 2013 Buick Encore and 2013 Chevy Trax in Canada. It's possible that the for lap belt pretensioner to retract but not to lock, which could increase occupant movement during a crash. Both front, outboard lap belt pretensioners are being replaced, and a stop-sale is in effect on unsold models until the problem is repaired. There are no known crashes or injuries, though.

If the Pontiacs weren't floating or hollow, we could be fooled into believing the image is real. But where's the fun in that?
