1997 Pontiac Firebird with 18,300 Original Miles. I am the third owner. The car is garage kept it entire life. This car has been adult owned and not abused at all. The Firebird has been garage kept aince brand new. This has not been driven in Ohio winters. You can see this from the many photos of the underside. This is a smoke free classic car. This 1997 Pontiac Firebird comes with the 4 original Pontiac Factory chrome rims with tires. These tires have 12,000 original miles on them and these come with the car. Current tires and rims on the vehicle as shown have 6,000 miles on them and the rims are 2004 Chevrolet Corvette. The interior is perfect. There are NO rips, NO tears, NO worn spots, NO spills, etc. CLEAN.  The convertible top is an electric top. It also has NO tears, NO rips, etc. The back convertible top rear window is glass with an electric defogger. I have not ever tried the electric defogger because it never is driven in conditions needing the defroster. This car have NEVER been in a body shop for any repairs. This has the original Black factory paint.  This 1997 Pontiac Firebird looks and drive as new. The few times that I have been caught outside in the rain, I have noticed that there are NO drips or leaks in the convertible top. As you can see from the pictures, it is as clean underneath as it is on the top. This Firebird has all original parts. There are NO modifications that have been made to this classic car. The air conditioning blows cold in these warm Ohio summer days.

This has a CLEAR OHIO TITLE. Feel free to email with any questions. You will not be disappointed.

1939 Pontiac Ghost Car commands $308,000 at auction

Mon, 01 Aug 2011

For the 1939 World's Fair, Pontiac built a Deluxe Six bodied in Plexiglass. Part of the Previews of Progress pavilion in which General Motors' Futurama showed off what was to come in the world of autos, the 'invisible' Pontiac is credited as the first transparent car in America. And there were no shortcuts taken with its body: the Plexiglass form was fabricated by the company that brought the material to market in 1933, Rohm & Haas.
The see-through sedan was sold at RM Auctions' St. John's auction in Michigan on July 30, fetching $308,000. Not bad appreciation for a domestic oddity that cost $25,000 to build when new. You can check out the high-res gallery of its innards, including copper and chrome metalwork and white moldings and wheels, and get the exhaustive details on it after the jump.

GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes

Mon, 01 Oct 2012

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
While the list of affected cars and crossovers varies by state and model year, if you own any of these models and live in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma or Texas, be sure to check the official notice below for more details.

Pontiac Firebird in latest Generation Gap scrap

Tue, 30 Sep 2014

Generation Gap is mining the Lingenfelter collection again this week to compare two very different interpretations of the Pontiac Firebird. An original 1968 example goes toe-to-toe with a 2010 Lingenfelter Trans Am to see whether the old man or the modern re-imagining takes the crown.
Being from the Lingenfelter collection, both cars are absolutely immaculate. The '68 packs a Pontiac 350-cubic-inch (5.7-liter) V8 with a claimed 320 horsepower and some classic, muscular style with a hood-mounted tach. Plus, it's painted in an understated shade of green that you don't usually see.
In the other corner is Lingenfelter's pumped-up take on the classic shape based on the modern Camaro, and this is just one of six concept versions ever made. It wears an eye-catching, vintage-inspired livery of blue with a white stripe package. Under its shaker hood is a 455-cubic-inch (7.5-liter) V8 with a reported 655 hp and 610 pound-feet of torque.
