I have one of 16 made of the 1994 Formula Firehawks, It is a rare yellow
color. This is an absolutely beautiful car with 67,000 miles on it and
has been very well cared for and only lady driven for the past 4 years. I
recently just last week had the optispark ignition replace, the fuel
pump and had the air conditioning recharged.. The windows motors were replaced and need adjustment. I have a
great sound system, aftermarket in and it sounds awesome with the cd
player.
This car is a number 245 out of 500 Formulas made in that year. It is a 6 speed 5.7 LT engine, looks beautiful and runs beautiful. It has been only stored inside and only saw snow once, because I took it out too early in the year and had it outside..:( The interior is perfect except two things.. Over the winter, I had a mouse chew a hole in the headliner and sun visor, an easy fix. Also, the front seat (shown) has a tear in the seam due to use and passenger seat has a small hole in it, very repairable. There is ONLY one reason I am selling this car... I am going to put the money into my business... Otherwise, I would not sell it.. This is also posted on Craig's list so if it sells there, I will close this auction. |

Pontiac Firebird in latest Generation Gap scrap
Tue, 30 Sep 2014Generation Gap is mining the Lingenfelter collection again this week to compare two very different interpretations of the Pontiac Firebird. An original 1968 example goes toe-to-toe with a 2010 Lingenfelter Trans Am to see whether the old man or the modern re-imagining takes the crown.
Being from the Lingenfelter collection, both cars are absolutely immaculate. The '68 packs a Pontiac 350-cubic-inch (5.7-liter) V8 with a claimed 320 horsepower and some classic, muscular style with a hood-mounted tach. Plus, it's painted in an understated shade of green that you don't usually see.
In the other corner is Lingenfelter's pumped-up take on the classic shape based on the modern Camaro, and this is just one of six concept versions ever made. It wears an eye-catching, vintage-inspired livery of blue with a white stripe package. Under its shaker hood is a 455-cubic-inch (7.5-liter) V8 with a reported 655 hp and 610 pound-feet of torque.
Looking back at Oprah's free-car giveaway 10 years later
Fri, 12 Sep 2014
Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."
Watch this garbage truck consume a Pontiac Grand Am
Wed, 15 May 2013When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Next time, we won't feel so guilty about slipping that rusty charcoal grille onto the curb next to the cans on garbage day. Watch the carnage by scrolling below.
