1989 Pontiac Trans Am. Only 26k original miles! Very hard to find with WS6 package, T-Tops, 5.7 TPI V/8 and black on black is the icing on the cake. All original and unmolested!!

Most of the 3rd generation Trans Am's of this era was in GTA form, not many of the Trans Am's where equipped like this car in those days. I have traced two owners, the second owner has had possession of the car since 1991 and always winter stored and limited use but very well kept and serviced.

I would say the car is a solid 8 and a half out of 10, infact beginning of August this year it took a first place plaque at the National Pontiac Uprising show in St Charles Ill.  Not a perfect garage queen but certainly shows well enough to win local car show events.

It did have the original Goodyear tires from 89 but where heavily dry rotted and unsafe for normal driving conditions. I had just installed brand new tires this week so it will be a turn key show and drive car to enjoy.

And NO the rear spoiler is all original with no cracks or peeling!!  Incredible nice survivor quality!  The biggest attention to detail I would say this car needs is the very front bumper cover, it was heavily over run with bug and insect splatter over the years and has the typical clear coat crust where the bug splatter was.

Have both sets of original keys, books and owners manual, GM T-Top bags, original front license plate bracket all included with car.

GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:

This 1927 Oakland is a minimalist hot rod

Fri, 21 Feb 2014

There are hundreds of American automakers that sprung up during the dawn of the automotive era, only to fold into obscurity or get gobbled up by what would eventually become the Big Four (yes, we're counting AMC here). Oakland is one such company, which was the forbearer for General Motors' Pontiac division. Sold until 1931, you simply don't see Oakland-badged cars anymore. Unless, that is, you know Brian Bent.
Bent drives a 1927 Oakland that still rides on wooden wheels. Its original wooden wheels, from the sound of it. That makes this anachronist and his Oakland the perfect subject for a Petrolicious video. Like many of the cars highlighted by Petrolicious, this old Oakland has had some work done to it, featuring a Pontiac flathead engine that's been pushed forward and a clutch pack built by Bent.
Take a look below for a closer look at this rare and fascinating Oakland.

Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day

Thu, 07 Jun 2012

Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.
