1984 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Black American Racing Rims on 2040-cars
Browntown, Wisconsin, United States
Car is in great condition for it's age. The interior is in good condition, and all of the gauges work. The Overdrive does not work, I drive it in regular drive and have no issues, shifts smooth, has a v6 motor, motor is strong. The paint is cracking ever so lightly in a few areas. The "trunk" opens and shuts great. Odometer says 77000 miles, I do not know if they are original or not. Car fires right up 9 out of 10 times. Tires are like brand new with 90% tread. AC & Heat both work. The dashpad has a crack in it, I have an extra I can include with the car. Please ask any questions, car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to cancel listing at any time. Buyer must put down $500 deposit within 24 hours of sale, has 7 days to complete payment in full via cash in person, or cashier's check. I will accept personal check as well but car does not leave until my bank says it's cleared. It is the buyer's responsibly to arrange shipping and pay those costs, but I will help in any way I can. I also have other cars for sale. I am looking for a General Lee if anyone knows someone selling one.

GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
Tony Stewart to star in Smoke Is The Bandit web series
Mon, 10 Mar 2014NASCAR driver Tony Stewart is making good use of his nickname Smoke in new videos inspired by the 1970s classic Smokey and the Bandit. The original is one of the quintessential automotive movies of its era with a fantastic combination of slapstick comedy and great car stunts in a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. If you've never seen it, check it out immediately.
In the new six-part Smoke IS the Bandit web series, Stewart takes on the role of Burt Reynolds' famous character complete with huge mustache. But instead of trying to smuggle cases of Coors beer it's Mobil 1 oil. The series promises to recreate many of the famous scenes from the movie and includes cameos from other NASCAR drivers.
To complete the look, future videos just need a quality replacement for a young Sally Field to ride shotgun. It would also be really cool if Reynolds could make a brief appearance at some point. Scroll down to check out the trailer and the first episode in the series.
GM expands ignition switch recall to over 1.3 million cars amid climbing death toll
Tue, 25 Feb 2014
588,000 Saturn Sky, Saturn Ion, Pontiac Solstice and Chevy HHR models join the 778,000 cars already being recalled.
General Motors has announced a massive expansion of a 778,000-unit recall we told you about two weeks ago, doubling not only the total number of cars affected but expanding the recall beyond Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 models previously mentioned. The recall originally centered around ignition switches that could slip out of the "run" position if jostled or if any weight was applied to the key in the cylinder.
