1988 Formula Fiero With 4.9l V-8. Low Low Miles on 2040-cars

Year:1988 Mileage:66000
Location:

Eastlake, Ohio, United States

Eastlake, Ohio, United States

The car sits 99.9% of the time. I haven't driven it but a few miles over the past 2 years. Miles are mid 60s on the chassis, the engine has less than 25,000 miles on it same with the trans. They both came out of a low mileage caddy, the auto was regeared for the fiero. Battery was left in the same area just used an s-10 battery tray to make more room. All new poly was installed at the time, front and back, I believe all new shocks at the time as well. It is an auto that came from the caddy. Has stealth wing stands, led lights in the interior.  All new speaker in the car along with a new radio.  in the front are alpine speakers in the back are infinty component speakers.
Car was repainted, the paint is ok. The rims on the car are not the right ones, I have a set of 88 rims that have been bead blasted and repainted, black. I have the original wing stands if wanted as well.

The install is a professional job.  All gauges work.  The speedo is slightly off due to the wrong tires currently on the car, once tires are put on the correct rims which are included the speedo will be correct again.

Needs a driver, that's it. Has full exhaust including the cat so emissions is no problem. Trunk still completely intact. No rust.

I spent over $7,000 on the swap and upgrades.  That includes, the motor, the mounts, regearing the tranny, wire harness.  Upgrading the suspesion.

more pictures are available.  I can take any picture you need.

If you want to make me an offer I can add a buy it now price.

The car is listed else where, so if this is the car you want don't let it get away make me an offer.  The worst that can happen is I say no.

Come inspect it come drive it.  It will make any trip.  You can drive this home to Florida.

the reserve price is well below the cost of the build.  A plain formula in this condition and miles is worth over $3,500.  For just a little more you get one with a v-8!

Trans Am Depot teases 2014 GTO

Mon, 24 Jun 2013

Here comes the Judge. Court is in session. The verdict is in. How many more tired clichés can we come up with? It hardly seems to matter, because it's happening: Trans Am Depot has announced via the teaser video below that it is launching a 2014 GTO, complete with Carousel Red (bright orange, really) paint and full Judge badging.
The car is based on Trans Am Depot's 6T9 Goat, which, in case you don't get the reverential references, is meant to mimic the look of the 1969 Pontiac GTO. As with the company's other cars -including the 2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am we recently drove - the GTO will be based on the current Chevy Camaro, which means two doors, V8 engines and rear-wheel drive, just like the muscle cars of days past.
As for actual details of what's under the 2014 GTO's hood, we're completely left hanging. We'd expect some sort of power adder (turbo, supercharger or possibly some other form of a highly massaged version of the Camaro's V8), and we certainly know that GM has any number of hi-po crate engines to choose from.

Saturn Vue ignition switch leads to new group of GM recalls totaling 312k

Fri, 08 Aug 2014

General Motors has another spate of recalls to announce. This time they cover 312,280 vehicles worldwide, including 269,041 of in the US, in a total of six campaigns. In 2014, the automaker has recalled 29,079,765 vehicles worldwide, with 25,754,356 of those in the US.
The largest among them covers 215,243 units of the Saturn Vue from 2002-2004 model years worldwide, 202,115 in the US. It's possible for the for the key to be removed even when the ignition isn't in the OFF position. The company knows of two crashes and one injury caused by this problem. Dealers are checking the parts and replacing the ignition cylinder and key set, if necessary.
Next is 72,826 models worldwide (48,059 vehicles in the US) of the 2013 Cadillac ATS four-door sedan, 2013 Buick Encore and 2013 Chevy Trax in Canada. It's possible that the for lap belt pretensioner to retract but not to lock, which could increase occupant movement during a crash. Both front, outboard lap belt pretensioners are being replaced, and a stop-sale is in effect on unsold models until the problem is repaired. There are no known crashes or injuries, though.

GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.
