Folks  I am going to describe  this Pontiac Bonneville Convertible  honestly with no cover  up. This Pontiac Convertible is  in Rat Rod condition . This Pontiac will be priced accordingly. This Pontiac was painted Marriner Turquoise at the factory ( Nice color) It is now painted red that is faded.

This car has the original 400 V8  -  325 hp  with YE on the engine block. I bought the car from a friend   in Vermont. I do not have the time, I travel a lot and the patience like I used to. The convertible top needs to be replaced if you want it up. If you want  the  top down the convertible pistons are unhooked  and can be put down manually.

The engine runs ok to good. when warmed up. Carb may be sticking when cold.  This car has old  body filler from the past in the rear quarters coming through  in front of rear wheel wells (Pontiac  patch panels available on ebay. 145 each  and and old filler on 1 front fender. cracked only not coming through. The trunk pan needs to be replaced  it has rusted through in areas . ( A New Pontiac  trunk pan is for sale on ebay for $309)  However the frame on this car is rock solid. Rear floors of Pontiac has no rust through. with the drains opened. The front floor pans have 1 drain open with  a couple of pin holes on passenger side floor and a  small rust area on Drivers side in front of gas pedal.  Pontiac  has a muffler but needs tail pipe. Dashboard has cracks. I drove the Pontiac down the street with transmission shifting smoothly. This car may have positraction but I do not see tag. It is tough to sell a car on ebay. However I will  answer all questions after 6:30 pm nightly.  Many non payers on ebay. I need your info by email if you want to bid.  1000. within 12 hours after auction ends. Thank you

2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am

Mon, 13 May 2013

No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.

Aficionauto sits down with The Hoff and KITT

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

The latest video from The Aficionauto is the perfect palate cleanser for Knight Rider fans after finding out that Justin Bieber is the voice of KITT in an upcoming film. Host Christopher Rutkowski says that the Knight Industries Two Thousand is one of the most requested vehicles to appear on the series and for good reason - Michael Knight's Pontiac Trans-Am is among the most famous cars to ever appear on television.
While the video isn't able to showcase one of the original KITTs from the series, it does get star David Hasselhoff to drive his personal replica and talk about the lasting legacy of the show. The highlight here might be seeing The Hoff back behind the wheel in the open desert basically recreating Knight Rider's opening sequence.
With all of its flashing lights and gizmos, you can probably make the argument that KITT is pretty cheesy, and the show itself was never exactly a pillar of high-quality drama on television. Despite that, the series still provides a ton of good-natured fun, and The Hoff's continued enthusiasm for it is pretty infectious. Check out The Aficionauto video to take another ride with Knight Rider.

Watch this garbage truck consume a Pontiac Grand Am

Wed, 15 May 2013

When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Next time, we won't feel so guilty about slipping that rusty charcoal grille onto the curb next to the cans on garbage day. Watch the carnage by scrolling below.
