I have been an ebay member since 2006. Last year my ebay account was hacked and caused much trouble with ebay and my bank at that time. I closed both accounts then and this obviously is my new ebay account so don't let the newbie icon deter you from bidding. I am the second owner of the car originally owned by an elderly couple in Ft Lauderdale FL in 1986. I had intentions of customizing it however with starting my own business I never had the time, This is a very nice rust free car. Although located in MI it has never seen a winter and always stored indoors. I put it in storage in 1999 and has been there since. I Always took the time to start it up twice a year unfortunately due to a bad starter I could not the past few years. The brake pedal goes down to the floor and the windshield has a hairline crack in it about 14" across the drivers side. The front bumper got tweaked when trying to move it to a different spot at the storage place because a bumper bolt is missing. When purchased the front clip had mismatched paint. I sanded it down in preparation for paint but never did get it painted. There are two shallow dents on the hood above the hinges. This car is solid. Although it is kept in a barn it sits on concrete rather than dirt or mud. No need to be concerned about the integrity of the trunk and floor pans or the frame rails. The interior is in nice condition... a bit musty from being stored which is to be expected. There are no cracks in the dash pad or rear deck... the door and kick panels and armrests are very nice too. It is my opinion if the buyer were to paint the front clip (lower grille valance is in the trunk) and rub out and wax the rest of the car it would look great. The title is a duplicate issued 9/17/98. My x wife absconded with the original among other papers during my divorce. This car will have to be trailered to your destination IT IS THE BUYERS RESPONSIBILITY. '71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books
Thu, 25 Sep 2014The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.
'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
