To the best of my knowledge what you will not get it a back glass & the revers lockout assy(removed long before I ever saw the car)."

What you see here is the love of my life that I can no longer seem to find time to work on.  I do not want to be that 85 year old guy who says "someday I'm gonna finish that", so I have decided that it needs to go.

What is it you ask?  It is a genuine 70 440 6 pack car, air grabber hood with hood pins, pistol grip 4 speed and no it was did not come factory with a console it was a bench seat car, 354 dana rear axle, plum crazy purple, black vinyl top, black bench seat interior, painted wheels with dog dish hubcaps. It was a numbers matching complete car when I got it and still is...just unassembled.

The winning bidder gets the complete car, just in pieces, i giant jigsaw puzzle if you will.  it comes with the numbers matching 440-6pack.  The heads have been changed out but are year correct. , original transmission & original rear axle. It comes with the original hood (see picture), with all airgrabber equipment under it as well as the air cleaner. The body shell is ready for a final block and paint.  The entire car was media blasted, sprayed with PPG dp-40, the underside, engine compartment, door jambs and trunk interior have been sprayed with base & clear.  The trunk floor has been replaced as well as the outer trunk floor extensions and the rt & left lower qtr extensions.  At some point in the cars life it has some pretty serious damage done to the right qtr panel.  When it was stripped I found they had punched holes and then mudded the entire qtr panel...full.  The holes were all welded up and the qtr was pulled out as best possible considering what it was like to begin with.  there had been a small amount of rust in the rt & lt rockers near the rear which have been cut out and patches welded in.  The right rocker panel has been partially replaced due to a accident in the mid 80's. The front k-member was blasted, sprayed with dp-40 painted black & then cleared with semi-gloss clear. The upper control arms have new ball joints as well as bushings also blasted & painted black with semi-gloss clear. The lower control arms have the same treatment also.  I have new inner & outer tie rod end assy's still in the box, as well as new rear axle bumpers still in the plastic.  All nuts and bolts are bagged & tagged for reassembly.

When i got the car it had bucket seats in it when I got it, which will go with the car, as well as a replacement bench seat for the car.  Over the years I have amassed many additional parts.  Along with the body & parts for the car will also be some additional hoods (4 i think) but none are airgrabber. Additional fenders (3 right & 3 left i think), additional doors (3 right & 3 left i think), additional trunk lids (3 or 4 of them), additional front & rear bumpers (2 of each i think), I do have what I believe to be the factory spare that was on the car when it left the factory...still has the poly-glas tire on it.  I have 4 painted wheels for it as well as many dog dish hubcaps, there is also an additional set of rallye wheels for the car as well as some aftermarket aluminum wheels you can have. I have a new headliner for the car still in the box. There is probably more that I am not thinking of.

Ok, so here is the crappy part, as you can see it is currently on a rotisserie (yours to keep) so it will need to be transported in a trailer (enclosed would probably be my suggestion), there are a few of the parts here at my house, front suspension, rear leaf springs, rear axle, some wheels...ect.  The rest of the parts are about 2 1/2 hours from my house in storage.

The body & suspension parts are in Lawrence kansas and everything else is near wichita kansas.

ALL ARRANGEMENTS FOR SHIPPING AND PICK UP OF ALL PARTS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER.  I WILL BE GLAD TO ASSIST BUT UNDERSTAND YOU BOUGHT IT, YOU GET IT.

On Sep-21-13 at 12:31:12 PDT, seller added the following information:

Please note, the picture of a dent in the roof is actually a factory dent, it was under the undamaged vinyl and the metal is gouged, under the sealer (yes, damaged at the factory before being painted, like they built perfect cars back then?!?

The complete rear axle is in the bed of my pickup, it got loaded so i could have a new pinion seal put in it and I have never been able to find the time to get it done, the picture of the rear drums are extras I found at a swap meet.

If you need to know the numbers there were approx 1326 of the 6-pack roadrunners built in 70.

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
