I HAVE A 1956 PLYMOUTH PLAZA UP FOR BIDS..IT IS A REALLY CLEAN STRAIGHT OLD CAR .I HAVE LOOKED IT OVER FAIRLY WELL AND FOUND VERY LITTLE RUST THE FLOOR BOARDS R IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE .I DID'NT SEE ANY RUST IN THE TRUNK OR FLOORS.I DID FIND A SMALL AMOUNT IN ONE CORNER OF THE TRUNK LID..THE WORST SPOT ON THE ENTIRE CAR IS THE DENTS BEHIND THE DRIVERS DOOR .LOOK PICS OVER GOOD ...IT HAS A FLATHEAD 6 IN IT THAT THE PRIOR OWNER TORE DOWN IN 1973.THAT WAS THE LAST YEAR IT WAS REGISTERED AND DRIVEN..THE SERVICE TAG ON THE DOOR SAYS IT WAS LAST SERVICED IN 73 I THINK ..CAN'T READ IT ALL BUT THE LAST MILAGE ON IT WAS 43.XXX MILES .THIS CAR SET IN A PASTURE IN COLORADO FROM 73 TILL WE GOT IT A FEW YEARS BACK..THE PREVIOUS OWNER PURCHASED IT IN 68...THE ENGINE IS TORE DOWN BUT I THINK ALL THE PARTS ARE THERE FOR THE ENGINE I PUT DIESEL IN THE CYLINDERS AFEW YEARS BACK .ALL THE INTERIOR IS IN IT. IT EVEN HAS ALL THE ORIGINAL TAILITE LENSES IN IT .IT IS REALLY A NICE CLEAN OLE CAR YOU WOULD PROBABLY HAVE TO LOOK HARD TO FIND ANOTHER ONE IN THIS KIND OF SHAPE.I HAVE ALL THE CORRECT PAPERWORK FOR IT FREE AND CLEAR..ALL THE WINDOWS ARE GOOD THEY HAVE THE NORMAL AGEING AROUND THE EDGES BUT NONE ARE BROKE ALL OF THE DASH IS COMPLETE.OTHER THAN THE ENGINE BEING TORE DOWN IT IS ALMOST 100 PERCENT COMPLETE BUT LIKE I SAID I THINK EVEN ALL OF IT IS THERE..LOOK THE PICS OVER AND ASK ALL THE QUESTIONS U WANT.I HAVE TRIED TO DESCIBE THIS CAR THE BEST I COULD TO MY KNOWLEDGE...THE 55 CHEVY IN THE PICS AINT FOR SALE..

PLEASE READ THIS UPDATE I GOT THE CAR IN THE AIR AND CHECKED OVER THE UNDERSIDE AND DID FIND SOME RUST IN THE DRIVERS SIDE FLOOR PANS FRONT AND REAR..IT IS NOT A MASSIVE AMOUNT BUT THERE IS SOME CANCER THERE .I DIDNT SEE ANY ON PASSENGERS SIDE AND IT APPEARS THE BODY MOUNT AREAS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE..SORRY I DIDNT GET THIS IN THE ADD SOONER ..LIKE I SAID IT ISNT MASSIVE AMOUNTS BUT IT DOES HAVE SOME RUST IN THE FLOOR PANS..I AM SORRY IF MY PRIOR DESCRIPTION MISS LEAD ANYONE..BUT OTHER THAN THAT IT IS STILL A  VERY DECENT OLD CAR VERY REPAIRABLE..THANK YOU ..ONCE AGAIN IM SORRY I DID NOT CATCH THIS SOONER..

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson.
