1969 Plymouth GTX Triple Black Matching Engine and Transmission. Automatic column shift AC car. Super Commando 375 hp 440 cu. Vin RS23L9G6247850 This car was originally Triple Black from the Factory as the fender tag reveals.The Paint is about 3 years old and in great condition. Garage Kept since painted. The Engine and Trans were rebuilt at the same time. The Engine has a slightly larger than stock cam but is Stock otherwise. I put a Edelbrock 600 cfm carb on but i still have the original Carb which will go with the car. The Transmission has a shift kit in it and runs perfectly. This Car will peel the tires of the wheels if you want it to. Most everything on the car is either new or in really great original condition. Underneath, new or rebuilt items include. Front end rebuilt and powder coated, new upper control arms with new bushings powder coated. New Exhaust system with correct exhaust tips ( done in June 2014) Rebuilt original 8.75 3.23 sure grip limited slip differential. New Stock Leaf springs New Gas tank and sending until Front Disc Brakes have been rebuilt with new brake lines. Stops great. Rear drums and shoes are new. New items inside the car include Carpet,Door panels, rebuilt dash gauges with voltmeter instead of amp meter, headrest, stereo 8trk / Am radio with added stereo input for playing music from your device of choice and new speakers with a new oem crossover. New glove box New headliner Sail panes and package tray. New door handles and arm rest front and back. rebuilt heater/ ac box with new dual heater / ac core New AC vacuum switch and controls. Everything works New Trunk Mat. The front and back seats are original as far as I can tell but they are in amazing condition. Under the hood Besides rebuilt engine new or rebuilt items include rebuilt 3 row Radiator. The car runs super cool and never overheats New hood insulation, window washer motor and reservoir. New Edelbrock 600 cfm carb. Brand new High rev mini starter. I have the original starter if you want it. On the outside new items include New vinyl top, original straightened and polished chrome around windows, new front windshield, New lower quarter molding with red stripe underneath. The original flat black has been returned on the lower quarter as well as the flat black hood strips. The car rides on red line 15 inch 235 front and 255 rear tires, wheels are 15 inch steelies powder coated glossy black with new Plymouth Division dog dish Hub caps. I have the original 14 inch Magnum wheels that will go with the car

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.
