For sale locally as well so first come first serve. Excellent project car. Handled very well. Motor is blown. Pretty sure a rod was thrown but not 100%. Transmission is good - always shifted excellently. Drove very well before motor went. Driver seat is broken and won't stay upright - easy replacement. Trunk latch does not work but can manually pull the cable to open it from inside. As most 2g's, the exterior door handles are broken. 1 was replaced already but broke again. I was going to put door poppers until the motor went. There is a dent in the hatchback door and the rear quarterpanel. The previous owner backed into something. It doesnt hinder the hatch opening. I have a replacement hatch and quarterpanel piece that will go with the vehicle if you want it. Ive also got 2 boxes of interior and motor parts in the trunk that go with as well. Please see pictures for any other dents, dings, etc. This vehicle does not run. It is for sale with no warranty, expressed or implied. Sale is final. Please ask any questions before bidding. Consumer Reports says these are the worst new cars of 2014
Thu, 27 Feb 2014Consumer Reports has announced its annual list of worst vehicles, a cringe-inducing contrast to its list of top vehicles. Ignominiously leading the way in 2014 is Chrysler, which has a staggering seven models listed.
Jeep nearly sweeps the small SUV segment by itself, with its Compass, Patriot and 2.4-liter version of the new Cherokee, while the only midsize sedans listed by CR were the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger. The new Dodge Dart and the Dodge Journey round out CR's condemnation of Chrysler.
Ford is taking heat as well, with the Taurus, Edge and their counterparts from Lincoln all listed as the worst vehicles in their respective segments. Toyota doesn't fare much better, with its Lexus IS, Scion iQ and tC also making the list.
Mitsubishi celebrates 30th anniversary in US with Outlander Sport Limited Edition
Thu, 29 Nov 2012The hurrah of the last kind for the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is this Limited Edition that celebrates 30 years of Mitsubishi Motors in North America. Built in North America as well, the 2013 Outlander Sport Limited Edition gets numerous black trim pieces outside, such as the center bumper, side mirror housings, wheel arch trim and skirting and roof rails. It sits on special Argent wheels.
Open the doors and the darkness continues with available Dove Grey and Black leather seating, and black leather parking brake sleeve, all accented by aluminum brake and accelerator pedals. On this model the six-way power driver's seat is standard. The sole performance mod is a new balancer shaft that makes for quicker acceleration without any penalty in the mileage rating.

Fiat taps Mitsubishi for European pickup
Wed, 04 Jun 2014Mitsubishi is often derided in the US for its relatively boring lineup, Lancer Evolution aside, but the company is on the upswing worldwide, recently posting record global operating profits. The Japanese automaker may get a further boost in the near future from a rumored pickup truck deal with Fiat.
According to insider sources speaking to Automotive News Europe, Mitsubishi would reportedly build a variant of its widely respected L200 pickup truck for the Fiat Professional brand in Europe and Latin America starting in 2016. The L200 is larger than the Fiat Strada front-wheel-drive pickup already available in those markets, and it's available in rear- and four-wheel-drive configurations. The idea of adding a midsize truck to the commercial lineup was in the Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles five-year plan, but it didn't include any mention of a partnership to build it.
At first blush, the Mitsubishi agreement seems like an odd move, given that Fiat already owns pickup truck specialists Ram. However, according to ANE, the company had at one time planned to use a version of a new Dodge Dakota pickup for duty in Europe and Latin America, but the model never came to fruition.
