I purchased this last year, and have used it in two rallyx events. Obviously that means it was beat on a bit. You will most likely find dirt in places because of this. I've hosed down the engine bay, but the underside of the car still has lots. The interior is decent other than the dirt on the carpet now. It's not perfect by any means but the engine runs good. Always starts right up. Could use a tune up.

The only things it NEEDS. . the transfer case also leaks out the back ( where drive shaft connects). .and the drive shaft bushings are worn out pretty badly, so the car shakes over 30mph. I would recommend towing it away and not driving it. its not safe to drive like this. Car does grind sometimes going into second. It has the 4 bolt rear, with the 6 bolt motor also. There is also little smoke that comes from behind the turbo. The alternator is bad also I think It drives fine on a charged battery for 10 minutes until the voltage gets low and it starts cutting under boost. AS you can see it needs some love, but its a running/driving car.

Car has no radio, but I will include an aftermarket CD player and a set of alpine 6x9 speaks

The following items have been removed (I still have everything, and will include it with the car, up to you to put back in) Air conditioning, Power seatbelts. Rear seat belts.

It came with some alteza lights that I never had chance of changing out.

Car has 180k miles on it, with a newer rebuilt head put on semi recently. (as was told by the previous owner) Clean title, and title is in hand.

It's a good start for someone. All stuff like power windows, steering, locks ect ect still work. Wipers work also.

MOD LIST:
*FMIC kit with Jpipe
*Brand new clutch as of November 2012
*honey combs removed
3" downpipe (Car is running open downpipe, I have an aftermarket muffler I can toss in)
*Aftermarket white wheels, two newer Michelins on the rear
*Window Tint
I think that is all.

Sold as is. Not going to take payments either. Sorry.

The worst rally driver you've ever seen

Wed, 14 Aug 2013

Fast cars and excellent driving skills might be the easy answers when asking how to succeed in rally racing, but after watching this video, a good teammate is obviously an important aspect of this sport, too. During the 2013 Rally of Coimbatore in India, driver Samir Thapar and his co-driver, Vivek Ponnusamy, didn't seem to be on the same page as the two attempted to navigate the course in their Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.
We'd probably hear drastically different stories if we talked to Thapar and Ponnusamy about this particular event, but you know things are bad when "stay on road" and "turn the wheel" are commands given by the co-driver (and yes, that's a man running for his life in the screen shot shown above). As it turned out, though, it seems like the Ponnusamy was justified in his concerns to take care of the racecar. Race results show that despite winning three of the seven stages, this team ultimately ended the race with a DNF.
Scroll down to watch the video, and even though it's been edited down from almost 40 minutes to less than four, we get the idea that it wasn't a pleasant experience for driver or co-driver.

Mitsubishi Attrage brochure reveals additional looks, info

Thu, 23 May 2013

If you're keen to get a closer look at the upcoming Mitsubishi Attrage global sedan, we've got good news for you. A handful of brochure images have made their way to the web courtesy of IndianAutosBlog.com, complete with driveline details. The compact car looks to have its teeth set on taking a chunk out of the Nissan Versa. The Attrage will launch in Thailand with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine good for 76 horsepower coupled to either a five-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission. The combination should yield a range of around 570 miles with an 11 gallon tank. We'll save you the math: that's over 50 miles per gallon, though we wouldn't be surprised to see a more powerful, less efficient engine show up on the US-spec model. Buyers can also enjoy snazzy 15-inch alloy wheels.
Expect to find a rearview camera, push-button start, Bluetooth audio and automatic climate control indoors. This information gives us a pretty good idea of what we can expect from the car once it touches down here in the US, though final details - including powertrain - remain likely to change somewhat.

Watch Mitsubishi break the EV record at Pikes Peak

Wed, 09 Jul 2014

Take a listen folks - you're hearing the eventual future of motorsports. This is Greg Tracy and the Mitsubishi MiEV Evolution III as they assault the treacherous course at Pikes Peak in just 9:08.188.
This run is significant for a number of reasons. As we recapped in our Pikes Peak finale post, Tracy's run was a mere two seconds off the best overall time at this year's event, snagging him and Mitsubishi second place overall, as well as first in the Electric Modified class and the fourth fastest time ever recorded. Perhaps more importantly, though, Tracy thoroughly trounced the previous EV record at Pikes Peak, beating the legendary Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima's 2013 best of 9:46.530.
It's an impressive feat, and now you can experience the whole run from as near a first-person viewpoint as you're going to get. Scroll down and have a look.
