Up for sale is my 1998 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL. Fully loaded, all power, super clean, and impressive. This is a one owner car west coast only transfered title once within family, never seen rain. This car was originally purchased for $36k in 1999. Very expensive back in 1999! The engine is powerful and runs strong and the car is completely stock and unmolested. Sound mechanically and cosmetically. Only small flaw is a small tear in the drivers seat in the middle. Nothing that seat covers or a cheap upholster cant fix for less than $100. Never bothered me so I never addressed it. Its Black in color, tan interior, 17"Chrome factory wheels, and a spoiler. KBB value puts my car at $8460-$7135 and the latter is rough condition. Its priced to sell accordingly. Looks amazing with great lines. Clean and clear NV title in my possession, 3 keys, and the original manual. I will sell it to US and Canada only. Its a great car with no issues and has been well maintained. All services are up to date and have been performed. Records will be provided to the new owner. Mitsubishi Lancer, Outlander Sport named 2013 IIHS Top Safety Picks
Thu, 27 Dec 2012The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has added a pair of Mitsubishi models to its ever-growing list of 2013 Top Safety Picks, giving the prestigious safety award to the 2013 Outlander Sport and Lancer (sedan and Sportback). Both models make a return visit to the list, but with 117 cars now on the list and IIHS crash standards getting tougher just about every, this is big news for the small Japanese automaker.
Among small SUVs, the Outlander Sport is just one of nine vehicles in this segment to be named a Top Safety Pick, while the Lancer's name is surrounded by 28 other compact coupes, sedans and hatchbacks in the highly competitive small car segment. The Top Safety Pick status does not apply to the Lancer's Ralliart or Evolution variants, and neither the Outlander Sport nor the Lancer were subjected to the new small frontal offset crash test that would have resulted in the new Top Safety Pick+.

Mitsubishi boss says US operations may break even next year
Sat, 23 Nov 2013Mitsubishi has lost money in its North America operations every year since 2007, but in an interview at this week's Tokyo Motor Show, company president Osamu Masuko said, "If things keep going well, it might be the case that we break even this year," Automotive News reports.
A little context: Last month Mitsubishi predicted that it would lower its operating loss in the region to 4-billion yen ($40.7 million) by March 31, the end of the fiscal year, well below the previous fiscal year's operating loss of more than five times that amount. Reflecting that, production at the Japanese automaker's sole North American factory in Normal, Illinois, has grown to 56,630 vehicles through October, compared to 27,339 through the same period last year.
The plant makes the Outlander Sport for the US and for export to markets such as Russia, the Middle East and Latin America. Interestingly, out of the 56,630 Outlander Sports built at the Illinois plant through October, only 20,150 were sold in the US.
