1995 3000GT, Danube Blue Pearl(very rare color) with Gray cloth interior. Approximately only 246 Base models were produced in 1995 in Danube Blue Pearl according to 3si.org which makes this car rare, to find one with only 62k original makes this a very rare find. The car is an automatic with power/eco option. It has power windows, power steering, power mirrors, cruise conrol, etc. I bought the car in 2011 with 55k currently has 62k since it sits in a garage and is only driven on weekends. The paint is in great condition, there a few chips/scratches and 2 minor dings otherwise it would be perfect. The interior is in excellent condition with the exception of a cigarette burn on the top portion of the rear left seat which was done by the previous owner. The ac and heat work excellent. Since I have owned the car I have installed a new battery, new tires, new shocks, Mobil 1 Oil changed every 3000 miles. The car runs and drives great and does not burn any oil! It also does not have any check engine signs and just passed NY State inspection. The car has a clear title with no liens. The only 2 issue it does have is that the volume button on the radio does not work and when the car is cold, the transmission shifts a bit higher and gives a jerk when shifting from 1st to 2nd. Once it warms up (approx less than 10min) it is fine. I have owned 5 3000GT's and this is a common problem but it does not affect the ability for the car to be driven. Mitsubishi planning three all-new concepts for Tokyo show
Tue, 08 Oct 2013Even with new models like the 2014 Outlander and Mirage in its stable, Mitsubishi could sure use a little excitement injected into its lineup. Fortunately, it looks like a trio of concepts headed to the Tokyo Motor Show could finally help spark some enthusiasm for the troubled automaker.
All we have to go on right now is a pair of teaser images for the three concepts, but it does reveal a possible new design language for Mitsubishi. The Concept GC-PHEV (shown above) is a fullsize, plug-in utility vehicle, and it could very well be a harbinger of the Montero/Pajero replacement that we heard about earlier this year. Mitsubishi will also unveil a compact plug-in crossover called the Concept XR-PHEV designed to look like a "sport coupe" as well as the Concept AR compact MPV, which will utilize a small-displacement, turbocharged engine.
There is still no word on the next-gen Lancer, Galant or subcompact sedan mentioned in recent reports, but the announcement below does show promise for Mitsubishi's lineup of plug-in cars.
1,400 Mitsubishi vehicles lost in shipping tragedy
Thu, 06 Dec 2012A cargo ship carrying 1,400 Mitsubishi vehicles from Japan and Thailand collided with another vessel off the coast of Belgium and the Netherlands yesterday. The 485-foot Baltic Ace was carrying cars from Zeebrugge, Belgium to Kotka, Finland when it collided with the 439-foot Corvus J. While the Corvus J sustained damage during the incident, it is not in danger of sinking, and its 12-man crew is currently still on board.
The Baltic Ace, meanwhile, went under. Three ships from the Royal Dutch Sea Rescue Organization, two navy vessels, four helicopters and one coastguard aircraft spent the evening searching for survivors, but rough seas and high winds hampered the effort. Eighteen of the Baltic Ace's crew, including the captain, were rescued after being found in life rafts, but six remain missing. The search for survivors has officially been called off.
The collision occurred in one of the busiest shipping lanes in the North Sea, and the managers behind the Baltic Ace said they believed human error was to blame for the incident. Dutch police are currently looking into whether or not they can investigate the sinking despite the fact that the collision took place outside of the country's territorial waters.
Mexican police seize engine-powered drug cannon
Fri, 01 Mar 2013It seems like we're always hearing about new ways in which people are trying to smuggle things into the US from Mexico - including simply driving over the wall. Case in point? Mexican police have found yet another way criminals are attempting to get drugs over the border. Mexicali police have seized what looks to be either a Mitsubishi Mighty Max or Dodge Ram 50 pickup, equipped with what is essentially an oversized spud gun in the bed used to shoot marijuana over the border.
Constructed from a metal tank and a large plastic pipe, The Guardian reports that this drug cannon actually uses a car engine to build up enough air pressure to launch up to 13 kilos of marijuana at a time. Mexicali police were alerted to this truck when their US counterparts found drug packages on this side of the border. As of yet, there is no word as to how the vehicle was caught and whether any arrests resulted.
