2009 Mini Cooper with only 31,000 miles

This is a very gently driven car, mostly driven in Florida until recently (flat and straight roadways, no hills). Car originally from Florida. I bought this car solely for 12 mile highway daily driver to/from work, has been driven very little beyond that. Car is now located in Sausalito.

I am the first / only owner. Non smoker. Super clean inside. Excellent condition. Only blemish is scratches on front bumper which resulted from a tight parking space mishap (see pictures), purely cosmetic (my son actually feels it makes the car look a little tougher and cooler;) ). Dealer quoted me $350 to re-paint -- non-dealer could probably re-paint for a lot less, if you feel it important (I didn't). Maybe even insurable.

Very well maintained -- Always dealer maintained, in accordance with recommended maintenance intervals. Records available.
Recently serviced by Mini of Marin, including full warranty inspection check. Reasonable cost extended warranty available from Mini, both for "maintenance" (routine maintenance and wear and tear) and for mechanical (anything other than routine). Fairly fresh tires (see picture).

Over the time I have owned it, I have realized actual average of about 33 MPG!! (combined city/highway) -- On highway trips I have often averaged nearly 40 MPG!

Premium Package, includes:
- Multi Function steering wheel (radio, sound, cruise control, buttons for potential bluetooth control)
- Dual Pane panoramic sunroof (front and back seat, spans entire roof)
- Automatic air conditioning (digital display, set the exact temp you want and system adjusts air flow and temp automatically)
6 speed manual (sporty, more responsive than auto, control shift points, make the most of the mini driving experience)
Pepper White color, with Black bonnet stripes
Roof and mirror caps in black
Center armrest
Sport seats
Tire Pressure monitoring system
Keyless/Remote Entry

Call Stefan - 954-801-9401, mobile phone. Its a Florida area code, but I'm located in Sausalito, CA (Pacific time zone).

First Mini John Cooper Works prototype spied

Fri, 14 Feb 2014

The highlight of Mini's 2014 Detroit Auto Show stand was the arrival of the John Cooper Works Concept, a sportier version of the three-door hatch that presages the next JCW model on the new platform. Now, we have our first images of the production car undergoing winter testing way up north in Sweden.
Really, the Mini camouflage can't hide what this car is. Between the JCW-branded brake calipers and extra intakes in the front fascia, it's fairly easy to see that this is the sportier version of the car our own Jeremy Korzeniewski wrote about last week. We're expecting the JCW variant to pack a fair bit more firepower than the three-cylinder Cooper he tested, of course. Rumors have circulated that the hottest Mini model could jump to 230 horsepower, up from the current, non-GP car's 208.
There are a number of style features missing here, and while it's entirely possible we'll see things like the JCW Concept's diffuser and side gills arrive when this car is shown in production form (or even further along in testing), their absence in these spy photos is telling. We certainly think this car will become the production JCW Hardtop, but there may be another explanation. The lack of certain aesthetic features means this could be a test of the JCW Engine Kit, which in past Minis slotted in between the standard Mini Cooper S and the factory Works car. We'll admit, it's a long-shot, but there is precedent for it - the JCW Tuning Kit arrived a year before the factory model in the last-generation car. The same reasoning could be used to explain the presence of the JCW-branded brakes, which have been another well-known Mini accessory over the years.

Next Mini Countryman spotted with swirls

Wed, 03 Sep 2014

Mini is continuing to update its models onto its latest UKL front-wheel-drive platform that it shares with parent BMW. Here, our spies caught an early glimpse of the next-gen Countryman testing on the new chassis.
Like the rest of the updated Mini lineup, the latest Countryman doesn't exactly show a huge shift in styling from the current version. The front end appears to be slightly more blunt, and the headlights have a redesigned shape. However, behind the A-pillar the differences seem to be pretty subtle. At the rear, the new Countryman also looks to adopt the brand's rounded rectangle taillights protruding into the hatch like on the standard Cooper Hardtop range. While not shown here, our spies claim that Mini is also aiming for a roomier interior for the upcoming crossover so that it can be more competitive in its class.
At least for now, the Countryman is going to be the largest vehicle in the Mini range, according to an earlier statement from chief designer Anders Warming. The CUV is rumored to debut around 2016 with some assembly possibly done at Mini's plant in the Netherlands. Until then, have a look at these spy shots and tell us what you think.

2013 Mini Cooper S Paceman All4

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

In just over a decade, Mini has expanded its modern range from the singular Hardtop model (launched in 2002) to a full range of little runabouts. The latest of these is the Paceman, and while European Editor Matt Davis gave us the full scoop on this model late last year, we recently spent time with the all-wheel-drive model just outside of Ponce, Puerto Rico.
It's weird, this Paceman. It slots in between the Hardtop and the Countryman (on which its based) in terms of size and functionality, and Mini says that it will appeal to a more style-conscious shopper. Key competitors range anywhere from the Nissan Juke on the low end to the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque on the high end.
After spending lots of time with the Countryman, we're convinced that maxi can still be Mini. And the same is true with this Paceman, too.
