Beautiful and well maintained Mini Cooper S model. One of the best colors Mini offered for that year. Has 6 speed manual transmission and factory 17 inch wheels, so it gets great fuel economy. Tires are Bridgestone Potenza and have great tread on them. Exterior body and paint in great shape. Factory racing stripes. Interior is very clean with no rips or stains. Very original car with No mods. Factory stereo with CD player and factory alarm system. Engine runs smooth and quite and transmission shifts fine. Very dry under hood and underneath car. Has a clean title and good Carfax. When I pulled the Carfax, it allowed for a price increase of $180 over Retail value. This has been a southern car all its life, so it does not have any rust issues. Great chance to own a nice looking and well maintained Mini S model for a fraction of the price of a new one and even thousands of what most used ones are going for. Mini Paceman modified by Roberto Cavalli for annual Life Ball charity
Fri, 10 May 2013This year's award for Life Ball Mini designer goes to Roberto Cavalli. The Life Ball is a charity event held in Vienna, Austria every year that raises money to fight the spread of HIV and AIDS. Since 2001, the year of its reintroduction, Mini has been involved with the ball, auctioning a car that has been made over by a world-famous designer. This year Cavalli gets the nod and a Paceman for a canvas.
The iridescent brown/black paint is the eye-catcher in the sketch above (click to enlarge), but don't forget to note Cavalli's logo on the roof. We're not sure what other flourishes he has in mind for the car, but those in attendance will find out on May 24 when it's unveiled at the Cavalli store opening in Vienna. We recently got our first time behind the wheel of the latest iteration of the Mini Countryman, the 215-horsepower John Cooper Works model, and were left less than enthused despite the inherent fun factor that a JCW badge brings. Our time with the crossover suggests the Countryman is just too weighty and soft to properly wear the badge.
We have also spent loads of time in various Mini Clubman trims and, despite the oddity of its configuration, this model may be our overall favorite in the current Mini lineup. But it is decidedly not a volume seller, which Mini needs.
Mini Cooper Hardtop 4-Door configurator is open for all
Thu, 11 Sep 2014The Mini Cooper five-door hatchback, which the company insists on calling the Mini Hardtop 4 Door, doesn't start arriving at US dealers until January 2015. However, if you dig the latest model's styling but can't live without the two extra doors, you can start speccing one right now in the recently launched configurator.
The new five-door hatch isn't just the standard model with extra doors squished in. It rides on a 2.8-inch longer wheelbase and is 6.3-inches longer overall. That means more room for rear passengers and extra space to haul stuff in the boot. The engine options are shared though with a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder with 134 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque for the Cooper or a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder with 189 hp and 207 lb-ft in the Cooper S. Both are available with a six-speed manual or automatic.
Prices (including destination) for that extra space starts at $21,450 for the Cooper or $25,100 for the Cooper S, which is $1,000 more than the three-door in both cases. However, like any modern Mini, these guys are extremely customizable from the factory. There are an array of colors, 10 option packages and a ton of other add-ons to choose from.
