Very clean, quiet, comfortable, roomy
(six seater), dependable, and accident free Grand Marquis for sale. Clean title
on hands. This car is hard to find, it is one of the last real American rear
wheel drive sedans. Excellent safety ratings, ABS, traction control, and
airbags. Many options to list: Leather, sunroof, chrome wheels, climate
control, CD player, power seats, automatic headlights, two new tires, new
battery, fresh engine oil, window tint, garage door opener, heated mirrors,
remote keyless entry, remote trunk release, V8, automatic. I average 19.5-20
MPG-s with 85 percent highway driving. Car has normal wear scratches on the

NHTSA probing 2000-2003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable models over throttle issue
Mon, 29 Oct 2012A potential issue with the speed control cable collar has got the 2003-20003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable under the spotlight of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. If the collar breaks it can cause the throttle to be stuck open.
The issue is limited to vehicles with the 3.0-liter V6 Duratec. There are just 50 complaints so far out of 310,000 cars, but the NHTSA has begun an investigation into whether a recall should be issued.

Fitting Retirement: Grand Marquis last Mercury off the line
Wed, 05 Jan 2011The signs have come down and retail production ended back in October of 2010. Now, the very last Mercury model has rolled off the assembly line. This last Mercury somewhat fittingly takes the form of a Grand Marquis reporting for fleet duty. It was built at the St. Thomas plant in Ontario, Canada, which is the same facility that continues to produce the Ford Crown Victoria and Lincoln Town Car for fleet and livery duty.
St. Thomas' days are numbered, however, as the factory is slated to close on August 31. When it goes, the Panther platform is likely to follow. So long, and thanks for all the fish memories.
